I did a search to see if this has been mentioned. Can't find any. Have you heard about their policy for Doggy Day Care?

I called them today, and was told it has been in effect for several years. The dogs can still go to their Vet, or shopping - as long as they are on a leash. PetSmart FB page is over flowing with comments.

I didn't know this was a service that they offered, since our local Petsmart doesn't. I presume the comments are mostly about their restrictions on the bully and wolf breeds. Of course I understand their requirements re: vaccinations.

Was not aware they offer day care either.
Most likely it is an insurance issue re those breeds. Many cities and towns here require owners of those breeds to have additional insurance.

I didn't know they offered doggy day care either. I don't know if any of out Petsmarts around here even have that service, BUT...
As a Bully Breed owner, I'm kind of offended, but I mean, I can see why they're doing it. There would be the one person that would come in and throw a hissy fit that their dog is playing with a Pit Bull, and if some idiot didn't supervise the dogs and a fight broke out, there could be some serious damage. Of course, I think it's unfair that they're not allowed, just because of their breed, but there isn't really much to do about it. Just board your dog somewhere else. I'm not sure I'd trust Petsmart staff with the care of Brennan anyway...

I also assume it's the insurance policy, as Freedom stated.
Camp Bow Wow (where I work) allows ALL dogs and that's one of the things I like about it. It really is absurd how much these dogs are discriminated against. We have quite a few regular pits who I LOVE and they're the sweetest dogs!! I recently got bit by a chihuahua on the thumb, which left me with an awesome infected bite. Does that mean we shouldn't allow Chi's anymore either? I don't understand it and I never will.

I didn't know they offered it either. Maybe it's a trial thing in select stores.

It's not a trial thing in our area. The Day Care has been there since the local Pet Smart opened.

They don't have one at our Petsmart but I've heard they have them.
