Hello Freddy, you are a super duper yummy boy. You have the cutest little face. I'd love to snuggle you too!
To Freddy's owners: I know you love Freddy very much and want only the best for him, including exercise for good health. Although, I think Freddy might find his exercise method a tad frightening. He might feel abandoned and fearful when you are driving away. You may want to check with your vet and see what the appropriate amounts of exercise are for Freddy and how to safely achieve them.
Good luck!

Hello Freddy, You are adorable and I'd like to give you a hug. You are such a cute little feller.
To Freddy's owners who said in writeup... so when we wanted him to do sports, we drove somewhere out in a field where there were no other cars, got him out of the car and drove away a bit, because then he would always run after the car then we stopped and we got him in the car again. It may look funny, but it is the only way to get him to run!
Of course, Freddy ran after car. Poor little dog thought he was being abandoned and left all alone out in the middle of nowhere. I am sure that it scares him every time you do this. I dont know how much exercise he needs but I think maybe playing with him might be enough. Have you tried throwing a small ball or a little stuffed animal for him inside the house? After awhile, he probably will bring it back to you.
Also dogs love to walk slowly and SMELL along the way; it's a highlight of the day for doggy. My little chihuahua loves to walk and smell everything; it's fun for her. Yes, I have to be patient as she investigates and smells.
Finally, congrats to Freddy for being DOTD!

I'm sure a child does not understand that putting a dog out of the car and driving away is not funny but cruel; the poor dog probably thought he was going to be left to fend for himself, like so many who are gotten rid of that way. :(

I am sure they made a game of it, after all, she says they'd stop and pick him up every time. We would never feature a story that we thought contained cruelty, I promise. And obviously, he's still with them, and loved and happy. Dogs live in the moment, so he wouldn't know that other people abandon dogs that way!
Freddy is just as cute as a little button!! Guess he's just not inclined to do too much exercise  Well we all can't be athletes can we now ? Great DOTD, peace and love :D:D:D:D:D

Hi Freddy! Happy Dog of the Day, cutie pie!:D
What an adorable little Yorkie man you are...precious! I hear you're a bit of a couch potato! You're not alone, Freddy! There are many of us who'd rather sit or be carried than exercise!:p But, you do love your swims in the river, don't you? My kind of fun exercise too!
What a sweet, fun loving, happy pup you are, Freddy! And just as your proud young person has said, he's so lucky to have a best friend in you..best dog ever!:)
Hope you're enjoying a fun filled day, celebrating your much deserved "top dog" honors; lazing the day away, being pampered and loved to pieces!
Hugs and kisses to you, precious Freddy!:love::love:

Hello Freddy,
You are a little cutie, for sure. The Yorkies I know love to run,
especially love to chase each other around the yard.:D They can be very
fast. Congratulations sweetie on being honored as our DOG OF THE DAY.
Sending lots of hugs, kisses & maybe a special treat.:)
What an adorable lil' face! I hopw that everyday is DOTD for Freddie!
(I too think that pretending to leave Freddie is NOT a good idea. Not only can it cause him mental issues, but he could also run into the wheel of the car in his haste to get in).
