.... tomorrow at 9 AM GMT :( (10 here) - my heart goes "thump, thump" as I'm writing this, I'm getting a bit shaky.

We had such fun together last night, playing with a string for hours! :) He seems so happy - and now this! Our own vet is so nice, he just sent me a mail assuring me that everything would be OK and made a few additions on my briefing to the vets at the hospital.

Please think of Fister tomorrow and send him some good vibes! We will of course ring them tomorrow and ask how it went, before we're leaving to Spain. I'll post and let you know. :)

I wonder how Boots are doing after his SirJuri! Hopefully able to eat his favourites and drinking lots!! :D

Fister is a "tough old git" and I'm sure he will come through the surgery fine. By the time you return he'll be ready to play string and snatch the pillow from under your head!

I'll be thinking positive thoughts tomorrow!

Buen viaje!

Fister,
You will be in our prayers. Bless your heart, it won't be easy, but I'm betting that you will be ok!!!! And don't worry your mom and dad too much!! You will all be on holiday. Enjoy the pampering you will get while you are at the "white coats", heal well, and be ready to come home when your mom and dad get back from Spain!!

Have a good trip, Randi and John, and try not to worry too much.

We took Fister to the hospital at 10 o'clock. The plan was to entice him to the kitchen and close the door to get him in the box, so I rattled with his dry food, but he got suspicious at the very last moment and went under the bed - so I had to take the hoover out. That worked, but he ran into a little store room where John could corner him. He let out a terrific heartbreaking howl and peed all over the floor in fright. :(

Last night, he was SO sweet, he played with the ball in our bedroom. This morning he was up rolling in the bed with John, proudly showing off his tummy. It's SO hard to do this to him, but unfortunately necessary.

Well, when we came out to the hospital, they said, they won't operate him until tomorrow - poor Fister, he had starved all night, to no avail. We spoke to a nice vet and gave him the paper with all the info on Fister. He said we can ring from Spain tomorrow and hear how it went, and you bet we will!!

Please keep your fingers and everything crossed for him tomorrow! :)

Randi and John,

I can imagine how hard this decision has been for you both. Fister will never know the difference once the plumbing starts working. I hope his recovery is quicker than poor Boots' was and I trust it will be!

Relax knowing that Fister will be in good hands while you are gone and that you will probably come home to a happy guy!

Good luck Fister!

Oh Fister! How is it they always "know" something is going to happen???

Bad analogy but it is like your hair --- always look good the day you have an appointment to get it cut off -- Fister being such a sweet guy last night!

Maybe he just wants to make sure you think of him while you are gone!

My thoughts are will be with all three of you!

I bet he is fine and we are all worrying for naught. I surely can't wait to hear the details.

I hope they had a nice holiday as well. That one little missive did make it sound as though they were enjoying themselves!

I just can't wait..............hurry home Randi and John!;)
