Max has perfected the skill of opening cupboard doors and also bi-fold doors. Every morning Max assists my brother in getting his breakfast by opening the cupboard where the cat food is stored.

Hello. Please understand "well-rounded" does not refer to Max's body type but to his personality and life. He apparently has a full life with many who care for him, and he entertains all who are nearby. What a beautiful creature and what a great character! Thank you for sharing Max with us. I had a cat who loved to open doors, too, and it brought back fond memories. The story of your brother carrying in another cat from the deck gave me a good laugh. I needed that today!

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading your auntie's most entertaining and love filled write up of "Wonder Max the Cat!":) First off, great thanks to her for rescuing you and your furry family, for fostering you and finding you the happiest of forever homes, which just happened to be "all in the family!" Thanks for the comments on Max. I have to reveal that I wrote the story on Max. He was my cat before my brother adopted him from me. My brother was quite pleased that Max was cat of the day.

My brother loves this cat more than some people love their children. It makes me smile.

I emailed my brother today and told him of the comments here on COTD. Here is what he wrote back:

"Always something new with him. This morning something woke me and it was him rooting around in his toy box. Something he hasn’t done in a long time. And he always pulls out the most beat up bedraggled thing in there. He still grabs that beetle type thing you got him a long time ago."

I don't remember the beetle-type thing he is talking about but am happy Max loves the toy I got him.
