Emily likes laundry, clean or dirty. Usually she retrieves it and scatters laundry throughout the house while mewing like she's upset or calling for my attention. I don't know if she's looking for her former owner, if this is just what she does.
Needless to say, my laundry gets put away fast these days and the dirty stuff goes right in the hamper. She found a way to get to my dishcloths even those these were in a loosely knotted bag up high. I actually leave out some dishcloths for her to scatter about.
I tell ya, these critters got brains.
When ever I click my fingers or clap or come near One Down, or call him or something, or like point at him, he goes in a circle :p I don't know why, maybe he thinks its his job! :D He nearly always does that! :D Many times he gets so excited that when he turns around, he accidentally bumps his backside into something :p  So I guess I'll vote that he has a strange behaviour :D

My Tuxedo Tinker will sit in or on anything circular. I have to get pics of this. Last night I came home and she was sitting directly inside a piece of cardboard that had a circle cut out of the middle. She wouldn't move so I had to set her canned food dinner in front of her. :D
If an extension cord is on the floor in a circular pattern she will sit or lay in it. I have put different things on the floor and just watched and waited for her to do this. My funny girl.

I had to vote that I'm the strange one! My pups don't really do anything strange - just typical dog stuff. Maybe one little strange thing from Sparky - he digs at the carpet :( like he's trying to dig a hole outside - tho he never even dug one outside! He does the same on the bed at night with the blanket, tho I think he's just trying to make his nest for the night.

Well, Domino has this thing where he scratched at the water bowl (or the carpet if he's drinking from his water bowl in my bedroom) before he drinks water. I don't know why, but he does.
Tallulah is pretty normal I think, I can't recall anything weird that she does off the top of my head.
Lily is also pretty normal, unless you consider cleaning herself like a cat and "talking" abnormal? :D

Oops - maybe Myndi isn't so normal afterall. She has a new little quirk which popped up about 6 months ago. She has to play a game of "bark at my food before I eat it". She'll go up to her bowl - sniff it - jump back from it and bark at it. She has to perform this ritual at least 3 or 4 times before she'll actually eat it. Maybe she's making sure that it's really dead!! :p I don't say "senile" in her presence.
And yes - she carries on conversations with her people too - like Lilly does.

Haha! That is cute. Lily barks at her own shadow sometimes :o.
Maybe the talking thing is a Pom thing ;).

Some of my cats can be a bit strange. Pearl likes to play with her tail like it's a toy. She'll sometimes even go in circles trying to chase it. I've only ever seem dogs doing this. I need to get a video of her doing this some time. I'm sure my cats have some other strange behaviors too I'll have to think more about it.

Domino does that too! I thought he was just a weirdo. He also plays with his feet.

The kitties that lived in my home used to chase each others tail  :D I thought it was adorable! I made a video once too! :)

Blaze loves to sit in litter boxes. He usually sits in the uncovered ones but last night I also caught him sitting in one of the covered ones. He's done this since he was a kitten.
I have to now keep my kitchen towel knotted when I'm not home for a while or Alani will pull it down. Some times he'll also drag it some where.
When Alani & Blaze were kittens, they would get into the kitchen sink and take the mesh drain cover. I guess they thought it was another toy. Some times it would take me a while to find it. Luckily I think they've finally out grown this.:)
Ziggy used to put toy mice in the water bowls. I guess she thought they were thirsty.;)

Too funny. Casey used to do that with those huge Old Mother Hubbard biscuits. She would carry it in the room and toss it and then jump back and bark at it.
Silly puppers.

My one cat, Boris, loves to burrow into things, especially my underwear and sock drawers, lol. She'll dig all the nice neat piles of underwear or socks out onto the floor and make a little burrow for herself in the drawer!! The drawer doesn't have to be all the way open either, it can just be part way open, where you think she'd never get in. Then I find underwear or socks in other drawers or drawers underneath the original drawer! ARGH!!! She does look so content though, I can't get mad at her. She's just snuggles into a ball and goes to sleep.

I can't think of any of mine having strange behaviors... just little quirks.
One of my sister's cats is living with us for the time being, and at night she gets shut in the sunroom by herself so that my cats don't pick on her. Each morning when I open the door I always find that she has taken the washcloth we use to wipe the dog's feet on when they come inside, and places it in the center of the room. Then she takes her toy hamster and places it on top of the washcloth. Even if we put the washcloth and the hamster on opposite ends of the room -it never fails- she will always do this. :)

Nesting or finding her comfort zone?

Cassie does this every morning. I take a shower, she has to nose her way into the bathroom. And then, she sticks her head in the shower and proceeds to lick the side of the tub as water runs down. Her head is all wet by the end of the shower o_O. Taffy will find your crotch and headbutt it gently. No, not your lap, your CROTCH. She's like a heat-seeking missile, males entering the house have to be on guard.
Toby (ragamuffin cat) will meow at you if you stare at him too long without petting him :D. Luigi (dom. shorthair kitty) will stick his paw in any glass you have out for him and taste the liquid on his paw. Goes back for more if he likes it. He especially enjoys drinking my juice. He'll also taste ANY food within reach.

I forgot to add that when Pearl uses the litter box she'll start meowing as she's using it. At first I thought that she was in pain but she's not I think she just wants to announce to everyone that she's going potty.LOL:)

Aww! Omg! These three were extremely hilarious! :D :D
My cat Mia sleeps 2 " from my face every night. She jumps up and down at least 3 times a night and my egyptian cotton sheets are starting to fall apart, but only in the one spot......right by my head. Gotta love 'er

Cassie likes to tear paper to get my attention. She is my kitty confetti-maker :) If she wants you to pet her head, and you don't, she will meow to make sure you know she would like some petting now. She also has a rule that she cannot ever be on the outside of a closed bathroom door. No exceptions for guests! If you go in the bathroom and shut the door, she will slip her paw under the door to remind you she's waiting. Then she'll avoid you when you come out.
I don't know that this is strange but it hurts me to watch. There is a family that lives near my mom and dad. I think they are fairly new neighbors. They have a German Shepherd and I've seen them out walking. Their dog seems to have a hip problem. When he walks, he sort of hops with his left back leg. Then he has to hop with his right back leg to shift his weight. If he were a person, I would take him to a doctor for a hip X-ray. I don't know the family so I can't ask them about it. But it definitely isn't a normal gait. It is strange in that the dog doesn't walk smoothly.

Jax is also a paper shredder. I heard him in the closet the other day, in a spot usually only used by Paizly. I went to see what the noise was (I figured he was bugging Paizly) and found him shredding the corner of a cardboard box that is flatened against the back wall of the closet. He'll shred Bruce's work papers on the desk.
He loves to stare at the ceiling looking for bugs/insects. Then he'll meow at them very loudly.
Oh, one thing Paizly does that is a little strange. She gets on my desk (which is usually always a mess) and digs into bags that are on the desk. Yesterday she climbed into my "patient belongings" bag from my surgery on Friday. I got pictures of this!!
She also likes to chew on ribbons or strings. She attacks the camera cord when I try to take pictures of her. She was a challenge to get a picture of for the PT Calendar!
Well one picture wouldn't load for some reason. But here is the picture of her in the bag attacking the camera cord while I took the picture. :)
