POUGHKEEPSIE is a 10 yr. old rag doll in Morro Bay who is diabetic. He is in desperate need of home or rescue. Due to him being diabetic and 10 years old, Kim's family thought of his age and condition and nobody would take him.

(If no takers they will put him down. and I would hate to see this.)

We can help with transportation arrangements.

You can you contact me if you can take him in! Debbie Martin [email protected] and I will put you in contact with Kim's family to make this happen!

BELOW IS HIS INFORMATION:
Ragdoll Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Poughkeepsie (10 Years Old) is seal bicolor Ragdolls and a retired show cat. He is ten years old and very healthy other than he has diabetes. He receives one shot per day and is quite used to them. It is also very easy to give them. I just bought a brand new bottle of insulin for him and he just had his yearly physical. He does need his teeth cleaned at some point, but he is very healthy otherwise. I expect him to have a long life span. He is a sweet boy who would love to be King of the Castle, though he does get along with other cats and dogs. He is not aggressive at all, but love attention from his person.

**** Diabetic Cats in Need will help new owner with testing supplies and can help with education. Treating diabetes is very simple and many cats can go into remission just by feeding canned food. Four of my current adopted diabetics don't need shots. Please don't let the diabetes worry you, DCIN will help. *******
