In Loving Memory of "Maggie"

(taken last month)

July 31, 2004 -September 25, 2011

Once again I am returning to PT with heartbreaking news. I am now down to 1 lone bunny. On Sunday Maggie passed away...

Maggie had always been particularly special, as I'd had her since birth. . She had been doing quite well all summer and suddenly the last couple weeks her health started to go. The vet said her kidneys were failing. I was glad that I received some warning and was able to spend as much time with her as I could during her last few days. She received lots of love from both myself, my Mom and Grandma. My Mom took her death particularity hard - she adored Maggie.

Sunday morning I had an errand to run, Maggie was actually looking better then she had the day before and I was hopeful she was on the mend. I'd been gone just under 2 hours and as soon as I walked in the door I heard my Mom sobbing hysterically. Maggie had just passed, I missed her by 5 minutes. :(

It's so strange seeing her empty cage... we're now just left with Chester, he misses Maggie terribly. I can't believe she's gone... This past year has been unbelievable. In the past 11 months I've lost 5 of my rabbits. We've always had 6 rabbits.,for years! Now it's just Chester... I don't think I can take anymore losses...

Rest in peace, dear Maggie. It is hard with bunnies - they don't go gray or start getting stiff, it's just all of a sudden they start to fail and then go. I am sure she is enjoying the clover fields up at the Rainbow Bridge, tell her to say hi to Miss Hoppy for em!

So sorry to read about Maggie.... she was a beautiful bunny.

Rest in peace, sweet girl, and play in the clover up over the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm sorry you've lost so many bunnies in such a short time. HUGS to you!!!

I am so sorry that you have had such a rough year of loss! I pray that Maggie is having fun at the Bridge knowing one day she will be reunited with you.
