You have lived through my worse nightmare about my own cats (I have two fosters now, as I come up on the first anniversary of losing my old Weebie who was COTD on 12/31/2010). Glad you made it through the terror and shown how clever you are. Don't be too hard on your new brother--he's a boy and he can't help it!)

What a smart kitty you are to have found somewhere safe - and thank goodness your mom found you! And thanks to your mom for adopting two black kitties - I don't know if it's due to superstitions but for some reason they are the cats shelters and rescues have the most of. I had a black cat called Shadow and would definitely have another one - handy when you wear black too! Take care all of you.

Ezzie, you sure are one lucky cat and are also very gorgeous too. Some people think that black cats bring bad luck but I've always felt that they are very lucky to have. Congrats on being COTD!!!:D

But blessedly you found your way to a safe place until the danger passed; what a brave and resourceful girl you are, Ezzie! And I'm sure hearing those faint paw taps were music to your mommy's ears, and I can only imagine her shock and joy, realizing you were safe and sound! All was not lost, and thankfully you and your mommy, and new bro Josh, have all been returned to your comfortable home, enjoying life again! What an inspirational story!:)

I am just speechless after reading your brave story. I can honestly say I do know how your mommie feels. August 4 2010 I lost my two beloved cats in a fire. Unfortunately I was not home and had no chance to save them. We lived in a building with 20 apartments and the firefighters were not able to, either.

It was so heartwarming to hear of your miraculous survival!!! I'm so happy for you and your mommie, although I certainly know the pain she feels losing one of her babies. Please give your mommie lots of love and head-butts from someone who knows what she went through. Also, be good to your new brother; he has some big paws to fill!
