I interviewed Jay Baldwin today(8/29/2011) in Meriden. Here's what I wrote:

DO NOT ADOPT!!! This is the most recent picture of Jay Baldwin, taken August 29th, 2011!! He's a convicted serial animal killer that is still out there looking for animals to torture and kill. He's VERY charming, coniving, cunning and will do anything to get his hands on an animal. To this day he refuses to take responsibility for killing and torturing the animals he was convicted of.

DO NOT BE FOOLED by his charm. And believe me, he can really PILE IT ON!!!!! He tried pulling that crap on me as I interviewed him, going as far as flirting with me and asking me to call him (like that i'll ever happen). I couldn't shut him up!!! He insists my best friend's cat that he adopted died of rat poison, when it was proven that he died of blunt force trauma to the head. When I confronted him with the facts, he said nothing.

I also told him that according to court papers, he was supposed to report to a Pretrial Diversion Program, sort of a halfway house, as part of his sentence. "I don't remember" was his answer. This guy had an answer for EVERYTHING!!! When questioned about the money he stole from the convenience store, he said, "I was broke and had no money and asked if the clerk could loan me a couple of bucks." So that's a reason to rob the place????

He is currently living in Meriden and as a daily routine, spends time at the Meriden Senior Center. He's being evicted from his current residence. The man is a sociopath!!!

He complained about a guy who he claims is leaving death threat notes on his door. He also says that the guy is following him. The police think Jay is the notes. Personally, I think it's the voices in his head that are threatening him.

He went on and on accusing Irene (whose cat was killed by this man) of driving to Meriden to harass him! She lives an hour and 10 minutes away!!!! When I left, he said, "Let's hope this story will get the word out that I'm not a bad person and then I can get a cat." WTF??????

A CAT?????:eek::eek::eek: Not as long as there's a breathe in my body!!!!

It took everything I had to keep myself in control. This guy trusted me so much, he gave me both his home and cellphone!!!! Along with this lawyers name, # and public defender's name, #. What I don't get is WHY does he need a public defender?

"I'd like to thank the Academy..." LOL

I'm a little rattled on the whole thing, but I attritube it to spending 2 years in court watching this dirtbag dig himself a hole.

*sigh*

Good work Donna.:) I'm glad you got a picture of the creep. I spent
some time yesterday trying to find a recent pic of him. I just wanted to
put a face to the image of someone so cruel.

Good grief, Donna. Did you interview him face to face, or by phone? If it was face to face, how did you restrain yourself, and not punch him in the mouth, or kick him you know where.

Ugh! Excuse me while I throw up! Donna, you actually have his phone number!?!? Do you realize how valuable this could be? If by some twist of fate this (insert your own expletive) gets another cat by maybe picking up a stray or something like that YOU can track him down with his phone number. By the way, did he recognize you?

That's why I told her in the other thread to pretend she was someone else, and treat it like theater, Acting, dahling, and why she ends her post with "I'd like to thank the Academy ..."

Donna, that was a quite a bit of acting just to keep yourself from throwing up talking to Mr. pondscum (I apologize to all pondscum). I tried not to when I read the interview. If you go hollywood, I'd like to volunteer to be your manager!
