We discovered a little mouse nest in the upstairs a few weeks ago and took proper measures to alleviate the situation. I don't want to offend any one here that loves these little creatures.

One of the little ones apparently made its way downstairs night before last. I woke up Friday morning to Mama taunting the poor thing in the bathroom. She was carrying it around and then dropping it. I went to work and when I came home she still was playing cat and mouse with the little guy.

I sat here last night watching her catch it, carry it around, drop it and then go through the whole process again. It would just sit there and not move and it wasn't hurt or anything. After about an hour or so of the game I finally decided to catch it and escort it outside.

What a nice treat for her, a live mouse. Must have been a surprise to you guys! I'm happy you let the little guy go.

I am having a nervous breakdown over this thing. There was a nest in the upstairs. We trapped 3 adult mice. I do NOT like mice and I don't want them running around my house.

Mama cat apparently knows where the nest is. She has brought 3 down so far. The fate of the rest is not going to be good if they don't vacate on their own.

My Princess was a formidable Mouser until she was 21 years of age, and was quite good for an indoor Cat:cool:
Moose was pretty good too:love:
Tubster Panther is as well, but he is much less able at bird and squirrel catching.

Hmmmm...I may have to borrow one or two of them.

Do your cats actually eat the mice or just play with them? Buddy and Tink don't seem to have a clue but Mama is quite the hunter. However, once she gets one she just plays with it, holding it in her mouth, dropping it, batting it, letting it get away! and then we have to search for it. To quote Jinxy cat from the cartoons: "I hate you meeces to pieces!" :D
