Hey guys - just wanted to ask share this with you. A FB friend posted this cat that was to be euthanized 8/22 - http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=143772689043922&set=a.144270008994190.37862.111198805634644&type=1&ref=nf

A total Sophia doppelganger! She also has 5 kittens, the same number as Sophia. I could not see her and her babies PTS so I offered to help any way I could. Thankfully, someone else stepped forward and gave the 175$ to pull her out of AC. They also pulled a calico with babies.

But as the fees for taking care of a mom & kittens adds up, they still need quite a bit of money to help cover the costs. I just wanted to let you guys know about it. Here is the website of the rescue that is taking them in -

They have a PayPal set up for donations. I'm pretty sure that you can specify that you want it to go to the tuxedo mom. Even if you just give 5$, that's 5$ they didn't have before! You can make a donation in Sophia's honor. :D

I am just SO glad this gal & her kittens got saved!! If I get an update on this case, I'll share :)

And I PROMISE I will get kitten pics tomorrow! It'll be their 3 week birthday :love::love:

Oh my gosh... it looks as though they were PTS even though a hold was put on them. I'm hoping it's a mistake. I'll update you if it turns out to be one. I just want to go and curl up in a ball and cry. :(

Unfortunately it is true. :( According to AC, the e-mails never went through. I haven't heard both sides of the story, though, so I don't really know...

I did promise pictures, and I took some decent ones today. I just love these little ones. They are starting to get so aware of their environment. I changed the blanket after taking these pics.

The one on top is my favorite. She (I think) meows at me when I come in and loves to have her belly scritched.

They are 30 days old today. They are drinking water, using the litterbox and testing Sophia's food. They're already quite agile and are very playful. Definitely showing their individual personalities.

My guess as to genders are - the one with the quarter of a mustache, the one with a full mustache, and the smaller solid black are girls. The one with half a mustache and the bigger black one are boys.

Names so far - Diana (after dehlers) for the little girl with the quarter mustache, Tracy (after krazyaboutkatz) for the little guy with half a mustache, Sassy for the small solid black girl (after sasvermont) I decided to get rid of the naming scheme because it was too restrictive. If I missed anyone please let me know.

Sorry it's taken so long for an update. Life has been very crazy lately.

Wow, it seem like just yesterday that we were all worried when Sophia was going to deliver!

The kittens are so cute. You didn't really have to name them after us. It was a fun idea, but not necessary! All the same, I hope Sassy IS sassy!

I know now that God sent me Sophia for a reason. I really need these little ones to put a smile on my face right now. He always sends me what I need, often in the form of a creature in need of help.

Princess Diana, or Diana for short. Named after dehlers. She's a bit reserved and dainty. She's a sweetie but isn't big on people yet. She loves her momma.
