Check out this adorable guy in Indiana....

Chief
Dog
German Shepherd Dog

Size: Medium
Age: Young
Sex: Male
I.D: 10791

Notes: Chief is one of the prettiest shepherds we've seen. His face and eyes are a soft gray/blue and he has soft fur too. Chief is 1-2 years old and had a hurt paw when he arrived. His paw is all better now and Chief would like to go home with someone who will love him and think he is as special as we do. You owe it to yourself to meet Chief.

that is SO hard to understand, with a face like THAT:confused: actually he reminds me a bit of Drake.... and everyone knows what a winner of a dog the ol' Drakester is. Doesn't anyone here want to be the envy of PetTalkVille? Oh how I wish I could help.....heavy sigh

More info:
Hi Sue thanks for your inquiry about Chief. Chief is approx. 1-2 years old, picked up as a stray on Sept 6th, he is a very mellow boy and very nice. Gets along well with all the dogs. We do not see any health problems with him at this time. We think that he had been hit by a car when we picked him up, he had an injured paw but that has healed nicely. I am not sure how he gets along with children, he does know some commands, sit, stay. He weighs approx. 60-65 lbs. which seems to be a pretty good weight for him. He is heartworm negative and has been on preventative here at the shelter. Yes we definitely adopt out of state. We would need an approved adoption application and that can happen either by you calling the shelter at 574-848-4225 or emailing me with a fax number that I could fax you an application.

Such a gorgeous dog! I also thought of Drake whenI saw him. It is so hard for me to understand how any dog can end up at a shelter. There are some cuties in our area who have been at the humane society for over 2 years!!

Hope Chief finds a good home soon!

No, no, no, Molly! http://www.websmileys.de/wut10.gif Too bad he's so small. Killi and Shi are too overpowering for him. However, I did give him a thought myself. :D

Sue, you're speaking to the woman who has 18 dogs with the range being from 16 pounds to 110 pounds and the 16 pounder rules the house!! She has the Danes and Ryu reeling!! I'll bet he could hold his own. C'MON PLEEEEEEEZZZZZZZ

Molly, I really did think about this guy, but when I see Killian and Shiloh interact, I just can't bring myself to disrupt what they have. Killian's health is so delicate, I can't subject him to any type of stress. So, I guess for now, it's only the two, no matter how much I'd like more. I have to go with my head and not my heart. (sigh)

No, no, no!! LOL , but I am getting a little closer to a decision whether or not to volunteer to be a foster home for GSD rescue. On the 17th, I'm going to an adoption event and I plan on discussing the pros and cons of becoming one, since Leonberger rescue doesn't have any dogs to be fostered. Hmmmm....

Wonder if Cinder could convince Dad to take in another buddy. This guy looks as if he would fit right in at the Ranch. And his name is Chief...as in Chief at the Fire Station. It's a sign...don't ya think?

Chief is so cute!! He does look like Draker too! I wish we could take him, but I am afraid that is out of the question though. Distance being one factor and then our not so stable situation now with Andrew's career. I hope he finds a great home. And what better home than a Pet Talker's home!
