To Bo's Dad...Thank you so very much for sharing your precious, beautiful boy with us. As a lifelong Lab Mom and lover, one who has had to endure the indescribable grief of having to say goodbye to a best friend and soul mate, I know how difficult it must have been for to relive those precious memories, to put to paper all that he meant to you. I'm sure you could write volumes and still it would not convey adequately, the depth of the love you felt for him, and he for you. It is hard for me to write as well as I can hardly type for the tears, so moving is your tribute.

But thank you for having the strength to do so, so that we might have the chance to honor him for the very special boy, the Dog of a Lifetime that he was. And what a dog he was, embodying all of those amazing traits we Lab lovers cherish, and more! My Lab Jingles used to love to dive for rocks too, but coming with a cinder block (sans boat), now that is really impressive!:) And I can only imagine the strength and courage it took for him to endure those many surgeries. But thanks to that trademark Lab spirit and fight, and your great care and unwavering devotion, he endured, and was able to live a long and happy life. How blessed he was to have a family as devoted as yours, one that would do anything to assure his health and happiness. And in true Lab style, though ailing himself andnearing the end of his time on this earth, he waited until his final job was complete before doning his angel wings, hanging on long enough to be there to comfort you after the loss of your Dad and brother. That is a true friend. And while no pup can ever replace him, I'm so glad you now have Sammy with you to help fill that empty place in your heart, to comfort you until that joyful day when Bo greets you at the Rainbow Bridge, tennis ball in tow, backside doing that trademark Labbie wiggle; so happy to once again be united with his beloved family!

God bless you, dear Bo! You were the best furkid a family could ever hope for. And now, romp happy and healthy at the Rainbow Bridge with my girl Jingles, and all of our beloved furangels until that happy day of reunion, and send down your love to your Daddy to tide him over until you're together again; he misses you so very much.

Hugs to the family of beautiful Bo. Thank you so much for sharing your best friend with us all.
Love and woofs,
Sandra and the Star the Lab:love:

Gosh Bo, you were loved so. I had to use a tissue while reading your hooman's story about you. I loved the part about you looking at your hooman with your loving eyes. My doggie does that too. Devotion is love and vice-versa.

Congratulations for being the doggie of the day. I hope you are having a great time at Rainbow Bridge with all the other dogs and pets that have left this world. I heard that there is unlimited access to tennis balls in RB.

Hugs to your family you left behind. Their hearts have ached for some time now but will heal eventually, I am sure.

Again, congrats for being The Dog of the Day, you handsome dude, you!

Oh My! I have tears in my eyes after reading your Tribute to Bo. No doubt he really was a wonderful loyal friend and you will love and remember him forever. I am sorry for your loss. I'm glad you still have a dog in the house even though it isnt Bo. Bo deserves to be DOTD!

I must say it was special to read a tribute from a man to his best friend, and such a touching history you have together. It will tug at the heartstrings of all who read it and bless you for giving your Bo the care he needed (vet bills for surgeries have shortened many lives). It's obvious he was an important part of your family and how much you miss him. So many large dogs are left at shelters so it was very heartwarming for a rescue worker like me to hear about your undying love for Bo and gives us the hope that other furry ones will be lucky enough to get their forever home. I know that all of our beloved furry family members who have passed are waiting for us and one day we will be with them again. Take care.

What a wonderful tribute you wrote about Bo, they truly are our best friends. I'm so glad he had a wonderful life with family but know that wrenching sadness at losing them. Bo was a very handsome fella and who wouldn't want those beautiful brown eyes staring at you.

What a wonderful story about Bo! It's easy to see, he was very much loved. It's so hard when we have to say good bye to our furkids until we meet again.
I know Bo being DOTD has to be a special day for his humans.:)
