I have what we suspect is a boxer mix, about two years old. Her name is Cassie. She is the goofiest dog we have ever owned.

She uses her paws all of the time, especially to play. How she is laying now, she lays down like this a lot, especially when she is tired. She's a great watchdog, and better with people and dogs when we are outside or in another home. She is protective of us and friendly after she has met someone before.

Any guesses? :P

Think maybe she's a purebred? The boxer is certainly in her looks and personality! Vet thought maybe she had some pit bull in her, and people always ask.

I would say American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer. I don't see American Pit Bull Terrier
(that is the only "pit bull" there is..) in her though. She's a beauty! :) She looks like Savena we had at the shelter I work at a few years ago and she was an American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer mix.

Savena was a bit more petite, did you get her from a shelter? :)

I agree, I think Staffie/Boxer mix. It sounds like Boxer is in her personality. However Boxers make horrible watch dogs, because they are so friendly with strangers! So she may get that side of her from whatever she's mixed with.

We did get her from a shelter, yes. They told us she was "shy and quiet". Shy my foot, but then again the dogs aren't at that shelter very long, and she must've been scared. They found her wandering around a nearby city.

They do eh? I've never been face to face with a purebred, but a good friend of mine has, and he gave her a nice doggy "hug" when she stepped inside :P.

Haha, yeah they are very friendly. I've got a Boxer, Springen. We always tease if someone broke into our house, Springen would just lick them to death.
