Tom, you look just like all my brown tabbies I had as a child. They were always the best kids! Isn't it amazing how many people get their cats under similar situations? Thank goodness for the kindness of folks out there who can't stand to see an abandoned animal. Bless you all. And Tom, happy COTD, sweet guy.

Ever since Tom Kitten has noticed other tabby cats featured on Cat of the Day, he has felt left out and unappreciated. So we would like to let him know we love him by nominating him!

On an evening walk just about a year ago we followed a little mewing sound until we discovered him, an abandoned kitten - tiny and flea-ridden - in the wheel rim of a pickup truck. After a visit to the vet and a week of trying to find a good home for him, we realized we were already in love and could never give him up. He is a sweet, affectionate boy and a good friend, and unlike his naughty namesake and look-alike (Beatrix Potter's children's book "The Tale of Tom Kitten") he is a very well-behaved cat whose favorite things in the world are to be brushed, kissed, and have sweet-nothings whispered in his ear!

Aww, Tom Kitten, sweety! You were found by just the right family that day! I would be happy to brush your beautiful tabby coat any time. I :love: happy endings! The photos of you lounging and showing off your good looks are wonderful :) Happy Cat of the Day to you, Tom Kitten!
