Along came Tigger

Along came a spider, pretty as can be.

Her name is Tigger for all to see.

Her color is lovely.

Her spirit sweet.

She eats crickets by pounching on them, they are a special treat.

She shows her kindness to friends new and old.

And lets everyone know that a spider or two...

Can indeed by a blessings, hold me carefully please

For I am tiny and trusting and very dear.

Even if I am hairy and give some people fear

What a spectacular, uniquely beautiful creature you are, Tigger! You may not be everyone's choice from a pet, but it's clear you are a perfect fit for your person!!! I'd love to know how you came to find your way to your family, Tigger! I'll have to go do some research on your native habitat!:cool: And not being fearful of spiders, I don't find you scary at all, Tigger. But good for you, helping others get over their fear of spiders with your sweet and gentle personality! Bet they learn a lot about your species in the bargain as well! Your truly are special Tigger, just as your person says, and so very deserving of being crowned Pet of the Day!

Tigger, King Spider,
I’m somewhat afraid of your species
But I’m always open to meeting any new Pet
And to learn all about them…

My view is every life is sacred and by that
I mean the lives of all living creatures who
Share our beautiful Planet Earth —
Land residents, tree dwellers,
Underground and Sea bound,
Those living on Icebergs and Floes
And living in places I do not even know!

All deserve protection and respect
from my species, The Humans.
Self-defense is the only reason, one would think,
that any human may harm a living creature.

Pleased to meet you, Tigger
And to see a Spider so pretty!
Perhaps if I met you at your home
— your human introducing us —
even though afraid of Spiders,
(and I know that is so silly)
I would want to gently caress you,
providing you would let me.

I can't recall the last time a spider was POTD, so I am thrilled to see and read all about you, beautiful Tigger!!! I hope you continue to help those afraid of spiders to calm their nerves with your docile personality. I would love to have you crawl on me to feel the sensation of those pretty, furry legs touching my hand . . . what a delight you must be to your devoted guardian. :love: I wish you a wonderful POTD celebration, pouncing on crickets!:)

Tigger, your coloring is so beautiful! And I think it's great how you help people get over being afraid of spiders. I used to be one of those! It sounds like you have a great life with a human that loves and takes excellent care of you! Congrats on being Pet of the Day!! :cool:
