175 collies need help

I am just sick about an situation we have happening in our state. On Thursday (10-31) the border patrol stopped a truck with 175 Collie and Shelties plus 11 cats . The animals were starving(2 have died already. ) they were traveling from alaska to arizona . The undersheriff for the county took control of them . The couple are being charged with 5 counts of animal abuse. I have not heard how or when they will be adopting out the dogs. They have them now at the local fairgrounds(they is no shelter in the area) The need money sent for food and meds. The funds can be sent to Community Collie Rescue fund,2060 Main , Shelby montana 59474 I have my name in for info when any info comes avalable. I'll send what I can. It won't be too much because I have been spending way too much money on my fosters. I feel so bad :( I hope the rest of the lives can be saved. Poor babies who died :(

A friend of mine who runs a Sheltie/Collie rescue group here in the N.E. told me about this horrorying story this morning. I will send a donation today. I pray they survive this unconscienable abuse:mad:

Hi ya'll,

I've been following this story the last couple of days, on the
Collie List I joined a couple of months ago, when I got Oz.
The person responsible is evidently a well known breeder and
quite a few in the Collie community have either been aware or
suspicious of her breeding practices since 1992. One can only
hope that being caught will finally stop her.

I look over at Oz and I just can't fathom abusing such a
sweet and trusting soul. They're such a sensitive, loving breed.
I doubt they'd even think to fight back if abused. :(

Today's update: They arn't going to adopt the dogs out for at least 5 months . 2 reasons I the dogs are so ill they will need that long to be healthy If they survive. 2 they are now evidence They have now charge the couple with 184 counts of misdmeaner curelty to animals. $500.00 fine and 3-5 years per count.
I am donating half my christmas sales from my spinning and knitting. its going to be a long and expensive deal. parnone what collie site were you on? i'm getting just our local news and this is about 200 miles and over the contanetal devide from me. Would like more info. thanks

What's puzzling to me is the people defending her. Anyway
you slice and dice it, I just don't think realistically that 2 people
can properly care for 175 dogs.
