A recent article in Newsweek Magazine labelled Grand Rapids, Michigan (my cat Bob's home town!) a "dying city."
Grand Rapids responded this past week with the record longest one-shot lip-synching video, to the tune of Don McLean's "American Pie", nearly 10 minutes long and featuring more than 3,000 people:

:eek::eek: Is this awesome, or what??!!! :D:D:D
MSNBC says so: http://technolog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/05/27/6730473-awesome-youtube-lip-dub-proves-grand-rapids-is-awesome
The Brits agree! - http://www.metro.co.uk/weird/864574-grand-rapids-hits-back-at-newsweek-with-brilliant-sing-along-video
The video and story behind it were featured on Inside Edition this afternoon (a sure indicator of Coolness), which was how I found out about it.
