One of the newest Ed-ventures is the idea of getting Ed to co-habitate with his new room-mate, Tucker the Labradoodle.
For the past few days Ed has lived in my room, constantly being 'stalked' by Tucker.
Tucker has gone to the door and barked, trying to alert his mom that there is a C-A-T in the room! The other thing that Tucker has homed in on are the bells on Ed's collar. Any sound of tinkling would set him off on a small barking binge.
"MOM, THE C-A-T in the room is moving around in there!!!!"
-----------------------------
Last night as we settled in to watch a little T.V. I caught out of the corner of my eye a white form walk around the corner, followed by another white form....(Tucker is also pure white..)
I thought, "What the heck?"
Ed had somehow managed to spring the door and wander out into the house!!!!
With Tucker in tow? He made a short tour of the house!
Now, it would be a fairy tail story to say they lived happily ever after?
But Ed does have previous experience- when we lived in CA, he would make the trip between houses with my brother's dogs in tow - So he some familiarity with D-O-G-S.
Ed's only problem was Tucker following closely behind, trying to make that 'introduction' that all dogs perform on each other. Ed's not partial to having his rear end sniffed, so he tried to keep a safe distance ahead of the Tuckster and throwing in the occasional hiss to warn him off.;)
Needless to say? Ed has been out a few times since then and everything seems to be going well as far as this little "Ed-venture" goes.
It will only get better and I see them sharing a few more interesting moments in the days to come.
I'll keep you all posted on what happens!:D:eek:;)
