Oh Sunny I wish we could take all those people that abuse animals and dump them somewhere never to be heard from again. I'm sorry you had such an awful beginning but you found a family that loves you very much, especially your fur sib Theo. The picture of both of you smiling says it all. Happy dotd sweet Sunny

Good morning Sunny D-elight! A very happy Dog of the Day to you!:) You certainly are one "sunny," happy, beautiful spottie boy; just look at that smile!:D

Oh yes, we certainly have enjoyed meeting you today, sweetheart, reading all about your amazing journey home to your forever family, your happy life! It was a horrific, simply heart breaking start at life, but just look at you now; you're the envy of doggies near and far!:)

As your wise Mommy has reminded us, you are living proof of the priceless rewards of rescue, of the countless wonderful doggies out there in rescue groups all over the country, just waiting for that special someone to come along and give them a second chance at happiness! Rescue is definitely the way to go! And while you are certainly the consummate hunter, I'd bet the farm it's those hours romping out in the yard with Theo; those evenings cuddled up on couch with your family, napping on that water bed, that brings you the most pleasure of all! (How I'd love to see you doing your Sunny "happy dance!":D)

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved predecessor, but thankfully for your parents, and Theo, they now have you to help fill that empty space in their hearts! (You and Theo make one precious pair!) How blessed they all are, having a beautiful best friend and pup pal in you!

Yes, you surely are living the good life now (how many pups can boast having a sister for a vet, hehe), and no doggie is more deserving than you, Sunny!

Congrats on nabbing your well earned Dog of the Day title, sweetheart! Enjoy a very happy day celebrating with Theo and your parents, and here's to many, many more carefree, happy, love filled years together!
Hugs and kisses to you, precious Sunny, and to Theo too!:love::love:

Oh my goodness, Sunny and Theo! I think you will both be the Dog of the Day for me today because you have brought me both sunshine (on a cloudy, rainy, chilly Chicago day) and delight! I laughed right out loud when I read about goose o'clock :) I hope you and Theo and your people will have a wonderful day. Happy Dog of the Day, Sunny and Theo!

We who know Sunny are very aware that he still has (and will have all his life) some neuroses left-over from his early days. We simply love on him through them, emphasising that he won't ever have those experiences, *ever again*.

It's very important to make your training and discipline gentle and caring.

Dogs will often carry mental scars from abuse. Adopt an abused dog if you possibly can!
