just curious, as we were in traffic today, and noticed how many cars were all silver of some sort. Our car is dark green, I like having it an actual color. What color is your current car? Feel free to clarify in a post - ours is technically "clover" but it's much closer to an evergreen like holly in shade.

I set the poll to allow multiple options for multi-car families!

my own car is white with purple stripes but the (shared) offroad Jeep is silver. My boyfriend has 2 green pickup trucks, a red one and a green Willys Jeep. I love white cars but they're such a pain to keep clean. My next vehicle will likely be silver or purple.

Red here. I was wanting the sapphire blue when I bought it, but the wait was too long. Also in the driveway is the dark green Liberty and the sapphire blue Journey - my son and DIL's.

The further south you go, the more light color cars you see. I couldn't figure why I never saw anything but light colored ones in FL (except for the tourist's vehicles), but then it dawned on me - light colors to reflect the heat. DUH - sometimes I'm slow on the uptake....:p:D

Metallic bronze. It was either that or white and white does not stay white around here.

The "other is a grey and green club cab truck that hubby uses for hauling stuff or just leave the van when I need it.

Really dark blue - almost looks black at times. I hate it.

Next time I'm going to get some really cool color, like lime or purple :D
Once upon a time I had a bright yellow Mustang. The color was great - the car, not so much.

It's red. I would never have chosen a red car or a coupe... but my mom and dad needed to go from two cars to one at about the same time as my previous car (also a Saturn) was approaching really high mileage. I love the back doors that open from the center (my dad and I call those the 007 doors because they remind us of something from a James Bond movie). It's good with gas. I know three things about my next car: it won't be a Saturn :(, it will probably be a sedan and it will have 4 doors. I had the teal green Saturn when that was their most popular color; then I had light blue when that was their best selling color!

This isn't mine, it's a media photo.

My brother has a Ford Fusion that he really likes. It has a great sound system and got good safety ratings. It just feels stable when I drive it.

Hmmm, I chose both green and blue because my car is Teal. It's a Scion xB, which is becoming popular. I was tired on the basic colors including RED. It is different.

This is mine at the dealer.

My Jetta is silver. I wanted white but it was a choice between silver or charcoal grey. Bruce wanted me to get the charcoal, but silver was closer to white. My first car was a light blue and the next two cars were white. Then the car before the Jetta was dark green. Hated how the dirt showed up on the green. I love green though.

Bruce's Yukon is a champagne color. He calls it silver but it's more tan. He also had a dark green Yukon and Honda Accord when I first met him. Oh, and a silver turbo Porsche and a red convertible Porsche. Now we are just down to the two cars and a boat (green and cream) in the garage. Oops, can't forget the motorcycle.......it's a white iridescent color. Kinda looks like a CHP bike.

But I see sooo many silver cars here too. In fact, today I was almost hit by a silver Lexus SUV. After I screamed and honked the horn I said if they had hit me at least the color matched. :D

I wanted a white "pearly" car. It's more white than pearly. I've pretty much wished for another color since I've had it but I'm thankful I have it.:):):)

I couldn't stand white as a color. The dirt showed so easily. And red fades.

My truck is dark gray. I too have noticed there are a lot of silver cars around, even in the parking lot at work!;)

My Hyundai Elantra is white. There's also a silver corolla, silver honda insight, and a taupe Lincoln LS on the driveway. My sister has a maroon saturn. I don't really like silver cars, I feel they are a bit too common for my liking. I wanted a dark blue color, but I don't like how mud shows so easily on that color either.

Maybe I'm weird but I think white hides alot of the dirt. My friends always think my car is clean on the outside. Someone asked me the other day if I wash it everyday, which I DON'T lol.

I plan on hopefully buying a truck (Ranger or Bronco) in the next few years and want red, dark grey, forest green, or black one.

My first two cars were white. Most of the time the cars appeared a light beige or yellow depending on the time of year. I do like my green car.

Silver...I wanted a light blue color but there were none available...I don't mind the silver, my daughters car is silver also. I noticed they have it in a pretty light violet color now but that might be a hybrid color.

My husband just bought a pearl white highlander, I really like the color. We now have 3 highlanders in the family if you count the 2002 my hubby gave to our oldest who is out on her own. That highlander is metallic gold.

We are pretty boring but I had a burgundy car once and got so sick of that color.

I totally agree with you that white hides the dirt. With my Camero and Mustang I didn't realize how dirty there were until I started washing it and swiped it with the sponge or cloth I was using. That's why I wanted a white Jetta. Silver is close enough. :) When it is clean it sparkles.

My car is red. My first car was dark blue. When I was looking to replace Carl (my 1980, dark blue Monte Carlo) I knew I would buy used. I said, "I want any colour except red." LOL - I guess the Law of Attraction works because Tobias, my 1992 Toyota Camry, is red!

Well, the Concordia bus that the residents use to travel in is blue & white, however my last car, a 2007 Cobalt, was called "blue granite metallic" a long winded way of saying dark gray! LOL!

So it's three years later - do you still love it? How has the mileage been for you?

Oh my gosh YES I really enjoy this car! Still love my Carmine, lol. And Psst! It's only 2 and a half years, ha ha haaa. That half year is important to youngsters you know? :D

The mileage is pretty consistent at 48.2. It has a button you can reset at each refill OR if you never touch it, it shows the mileage for the life of the car. Lucky for me, I had read about this on the Prius Chat forum during that LONG wait for the car to arrive, so I have NEVER reset the button. It has varied from time to time, but mostly is at 48.2. Not bad!

Way back when, my very first service, I took it in to the Dealer. They tried to charge me for a gear adjustment - the Prius doesn't HAVE gears! (Again, I knew this from the Forum). There was something else, I forget now. I was fuming, even though I had read this was quite common w/ the dealers, to over charge, charge for stuff not done, or that wasn't needed at that time. The local garage up the street, meanwhile, had sent 2 of its 3 mechanics to the training for the Prius, so now I just go there.

No matter what type of car you have, I highly recommend the Forum for YOUR make, model and year. It is amazing the things the "Car Guys" and Gals learn and pass on!

My car is silver. And I've honestly never really liked silver cars. Before this car I had a black car, and a dark purple/blue car. Both of them faded from the sun, and the hood, top and trunk looked bad by the time I sold them. I decided this time to get a "non-color" that wouldn't fade.

I really like the BRIGHT colored cars.

My car is Silver which is fine with me because I like understated colors on my cars. My wife has a Mazda6 Sportwagon with a color they call "sea blue metallic" which is a dark blue color so I guess they are talking mid-ocean blue instead of shore line blue. My wife wants a Red car next and I will probably go with white.

Midnight Blue Metallic - wasn't sure I'd like it and I really wanted the Black Metallic, but in the end, my car is unique and I never see one the same color as mine. Don't know if that is good or bad, but I like it!

"Snowflake" is white. :) She's a 2010 Chrysler Town N Country mini-van. We decided to trade in our other car about 6 months after the baby was born, we needed more room. I NEVER wanted a white car, NEVER EVER, however this was the only mini-van on the lot that was what we wanted and I debated for a long time over it. They gave us a good deal because we took one on the lot instead of transferring from another dealership. Now that I have it, it's not so bad at all. Hides dirt well too. :)

We have a silver Chrysler Town & Country. Do you know how many silver Chrysler Town & Country mini-vans & Dodge Caravans there are in this world? Evidently a lot. Yesterday there were 4 of us stopped at the same traffic light.

our car is teal green, it is quite a vivid colour and stands out, you sure cannot miss it, it was not my fav colour when we purchased it, but i loved the rest of the car, it is a sports hatchback car, so went with it, but it really is very visible, and for that i like it, heaps of them around in the same colour, so not very unique, but who cares.

Daughters is silver.,parents also have silver.
