Yesterday I found a tick on Maya
I had never before seen a tick, so I panicked a bit!!
Luckily I found a lot of information and pics on google!!
I removed it with a tissue and disinfected the wound very good.
Today I went to the vet wit her, just to be sure I did it good.
I took the tick with me, wrapped in a paper and sealed in a plastic bag.
He told me I did a very good job!! Good hey;)
There is still a little lump on Maya's skin, but that is normal, and it will disappear after a few days!
Hurray for my sweetie Maya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have all come out around here as well. YUCK! Two warm days and they were out of hibernation (or whatever they do for winter) and looking for warm bodies.
Good job finding that on Maya to start with!
Great job removing it!

Good job on taking care of the situation!
We never had a tick problem here where I live in Pennsylvania until about may 5 or 6 years ago. Casey started coming in with a tick on her every now and then. I am not sure why they have become a problem here.

Likely because of the deer overpopulation, sadly. Good job removing the tick, it is scary for the first-timer!
Thank God the tick was found and removed, Good Job!! And do me a favour, save that TICK!! My cousin needs them, she's studying Veterinary Sciences :p She was asking us if our One Down had ticks :p Anyway, good job in finding the tick and prayers that no other get on Maya.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to remove it all of it and that Maya will be fine.:) Maybe you should start putting on some flea and tick prevention medicine so that when your cats go outside they won't pick up any bugs.;)
