Pouncer is sick again :( We have a vet appointment tomorrow that I've had for a while now, but I called to see if I can get hime in sooner because he's acting blocked despite the fact that the vet said he "can't be" blocked.

He's been sooooo grumpy. Picking fights, being picked on. My favorite was the fight he had last week (before my camera went and died on me)

Who's he fighting?

Himself.

Just another attempt at learning how to paint in the photo editor.

aww..he really looks sick in that picture. I hope he gets well soon! :( Prayers for dear Pouncer. And the second picture looks like his eyes are going to shoot out a beam of light and crack the mirror :p

I'm sorry. I hope he'll be better soon. If you've said, I forgot. Has he had xrays to look for blockage? Kay

They let me bring him in to them for the night. He gained soooo much weight - he's 15 pounds now!  But I knew that because I couldn't squeeze his grumpy body into the carrier. Instead, I held him as hubby drove the mile to the vet.

I am praying he's ok and that I didn't hurt him by putting off this appointment til today. I couldn't get him there any sooner thanks to my crazy work schedule... today is my first real day off in two weeks. the only time off was spent at the dentist (fun ways to spend my mornings off!)

I'm not worried about blockage because he's been through this same exact thing so many times now that I lost count of how many times, and how much money I spent on emergency vet trips. I am confident a few courses of antibiotics, special foods, and steroids will put him back to the sweet boy I know and love.

Praying for Pouncer!

Whoever said they don't "see" anything in a mirror sure doesn't know them as WE do!

The vet called and said she hasn't gotten a urine sample from him yet. She also said everybody loves him. Her exact words were, "just touch him and he purrs." Thats MY boy.

I think she just wants to keep him overnight for her own selfish reasons ;)

My sweet twitchy tail boy is back from the vet. Its exactly as I diagnosed: infection - to be treated with antibiotics and a course of steroids.

The surprising thing was NO CRYSTALS!!!!

The vet thinks the problem was the food change a couple weeks ago, which is ok because he's been back on his regular food for a week now (I had bought a different flavor of the normal food because Petco was out of the normal flavor)

The vet also thought it was funny how he sat in his cage and watched everything. She said he knew who was doing what at any given moment. He does the same thing here - there's nothing he misses.

I simply adore my twitchy tailed-grumpy boy sweetheart
