The time is coming for me to really kick things into over drive and get the house buttoned up for the new owners...One of the problems is cars my parents owned...
I was trying to move a car out onto the street and was depending on
my eff up family to help. It was my mom's old car and it doesn't run.
My bro and sis have deftly avoided doing anything more to help me clean out the house so I decided to try and get help another way.
I decided to ask someone walking by to help and I would give them 20 dollars for a few miniutes work.
Coming back from the store and I saw some cat pushing a basket with laundry in it. I pulled up next to him and asked if he wanted a job, he said no, but I told him I'd give him the 20 spot to help me push the car out onto the street.
He said, "Yeah, let me put my basket away".
A few minutes later he came back, I paid him up front and we got the car to the curb in 4 minutes.
I said thanks and he said to me...I'll only take 10 bucks...I told him I had no change and for him to keep the money.
"No, I have change" he said.....He dug into his pocket, pulled out a tenner and would not take it back.
I shook his hand and he walked off.
JUST when you think the world is full of AHs and people that DGAF?
Someone walks by and refreshes your idea of the good in man (and women).
