I just finished reading a Swedish thriller called Box 21 by Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom. The subject is just that: young girls lured abroad, in this case to Sweden from the Balkan countries, by the promise of better jobs but then enslaved in the underage sex trade.

And, Oh.. my... God... does this book ever communicate just how vicious and cruel this "business" is, just how it works, what the victims and the pimps and the customers are like.. I was practically gasping after each chapter. I'd heard of such things before but never knew details on just how bad it is.

I'm glad too that this "industry" is getting more publicity. Thank you for posting the link, Candace. I can just imagine what a big profit-margin something like the Super Bowl creates for the perpetrators.

There is also a new one called "Invisible Chains" here in Canada. It's not fiction.

Ironically, it mentions the Swedish model which works well...the prostitutes (all ages) are given safe houses, retraining and intense counselling. The johns and pimps are prosecuted. Apparently it is working tremendously well.

As a man I know said, "Real men don't pay for sex.";)

I have paid for sex many many years ago, but it was with mature women when I was very young, in a clean place.
I would never have sex with an underage girl, nor would I ever find a child attractive.
