So as you guys know, I've been working at an amusement park for 3 years now, the first season I hated it because I was in an awful department - second and third season I loved it because I loved my co-workers. Well all that changed toward mid-summer when I began getting fed up with some of the Supervisors and treatment of the workers...and my friends all leaving. Ok so anyway...
I have been looking for a job for over a month, applied to about 13 places including Pizza Hut, Target, Petsmart, Petco, etc. etc. I've been dying to find an animal job, as desperate as I was I looked on the local park system website for job listings. They barely ever have Job listings on that website. Well I see all these summer camp positions and then I read "Camp Woof" - pretty self-explanatory. A summer camp for dogs sort of a doggy day care, but it only said dates for one week. I e-mailed the name on the site and she said she's looking for at least 2 full-time positions and she was really happy I was interested. I e-mailed her my credentials and she said "Please send me an application - to my attention", that is a good thing, right? This has me REALLY excited - I know I'm getting ahead of myself but I'm just hoping this is the right job for me. I need a job for the summer at least and if I am working with dogs this will be awesome for a resume.
I'm sorry for this long post, I am just excited and VERY hopeful :D I will definitely keep you updated.
