To Bibette and Lulu!

Lulu here - Mom1 and Mom2 really had quite the time when they came to the Kitty wing of the local shelter looking for some Katkidz to share their home with!! There were so many good looking fellow inmates waiting for their forever homes!!! I wasn't sure I was going to get a chance - there were kittens just in from their stays in foster homes and some oldsters, like me, who were given up for a lot of different reasons. My first family had a new baby and they didn't think I was going to be good with her (not sure why now :confused:). I was in the "senior" category - I was 7 years old and was available for no charge. Mom2 immediately was taken by my smushed face. The attendant described me as a cat with an "attitude." Hey - I just know what I want and when I want it!!! Now, Mom1 had her eye on a youngster down the line who was a funny looking tortie - strangest markings I've ever seen!!! When they brought us together (to check out my 'tude for this whipper snapper), I knew I needed to be on best behavior!! I kept my thoughts to myself and Mom2 said I was for her. So we both went home together. I have staked my claims to the funny tunnel that Mom1 brought home for us to play with - it's my "safe house" - and I've put Bitster in her place a number of times - but it hasn't stopped her from teasing me!!! Boy, can she jump :eek:

There are so many fellow kitty travelers looking for homes - Mom1 and Mom2 really could have taken all of them home - but I'm not sure where they would all have fit!! So here's to everyone who goes to the shelters when they want to share their home with furkidz - they are truly special in my eyes!!

Well, have to go now - the Bitster is trying to steal my wet food!!!

You two sure are pretty! Your moms knew what they were doing. I agree with you about adopting "senior" cats. We adopted our little girl, Mau Mau, when she was 6 years old. Her family had forgotten her. She had a chip and her owners were called several time, but no one ever came for her. We picked her out and the shelter people were so happy that she was being adopted. She is such a sweetie and they were afraid no one would want her. Not want her? She has both of us, and her big brother, wrapped around her little paw. I agree, adopt an older cat from a shelter, they are the greatest!!!:D:love:

I have to honestly admit I have never seen one marked like Bibett! Do you have more pictures of her to show her off! I find her marking so captivating that I want to see MORE of her all over.. Even tummy shots if you have them.. She is SO UNIQUE!

Bibette truly is one gorgeous Cat, and I certainly agree Laura, that I have never seen such an Unique Cat!!!

Thank you, Elyse and Cassie - We were quite surprised to see a thread dedicated to us!!! Actually, it's Lulu who is the senior - Bibette is the lil' brat cat that came along for the ride!!!

Mom1 will work on getting more pictures - we have some, but she kept looking into the camera and her eyes reflect the light a little - not quite a red eye, but kind of weird looking!!

Thank you all for your admiration!!! Here's another shot of Bibette - who tends to be the aerealist of the family. :D She found the top of the built-in book shelves to be just the right "high ground" to keep everyone under surveillance.

Wow Bibette is absolutely STUNNING.. I've never seen a tortie with that kind of colouring.. gorgeous. As you can see from the kitties in my sig, I have a serious soft spot for torties and calicos! ;)

Dear Beautiful Bibette... how brave of you to go up to a high place to observe your family! What a beautiful orange and tortie coat you have! I bet you are very soft to pet.
