I had to send My Dear Joey to The Rainbow Bridge yesterday...He had a Brain Tumor...It was found on 10/14/2010..It debilitated him so rapidly...
I just lost my Delilah last Friday..this is 2 in one week...a bit much for me...
But I Loved Them Both....I adopted Joey Aug. 2002...He had Such a Personality....
He was a Good Boy!
Godspeed to The Rainbow Bridge Joey and Delilah...Hobo and Maggie Puss will be there to guide you...

I am so sorry! Losing a pet is difficult enough, but two so close together. :(
I'm sure Delilah was waiting right there for Joey.

RIP to both pups.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how it is to lose multiple pets. In 2008 I lost in total of four pets. 2 died at or around the same time due to the flood. And 2 died within weeks of each other due to illness. Sending my thoughts and prayers during this time.

I just found this poem in Angus's memorial thread and I wanted to repost it for you (((HUGS)))

Letter From Your Pet in Heaven

To my dearest family,
some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know,
that I arrived okay.

I'm writing this from the Bridge.
Here I dwell with God above.
Here there are no more tears of sadness.
Here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you
every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you
when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me
and He said, "I welcome you.

It's good to have you back again,
you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family,
They'll be here later on."

God gave me a list of things,
that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list,
was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night
the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you...
in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth,
and all those loving years,
because you are only human,
they are bound to bring you tears.

But do not be afraid to cry:
it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers,
unless there was some rain.

But one thing is for certain,
though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now,
than I ever was before.

There are rocky roads ahead of you
and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it
by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street
with me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps
only half a step behind."

"And when it's time for you to go...
from that body to be free.
Remember you're not going...
you're coming here to me."

Nicole,
My heart dropped when I read this ........ huge huge hugs to you dear friend.
Two in such a short space of time, but luckily for us Phred would have been there to take care of them, and help them settle in.
I know it doesn't make it any easier, but they are looking down on you pain free and all 3 fur-kids together ...

Nicole, I am so sorry I have not posted or responded to your losses. My life is incredibly crazy right now and I miss things that I really should see. You know I did care for your 3 wonderful doggies and I just can't believe they are gone. I had so hoped we would get back down there to see them again. You are ever in my heart and prayers,

Diana

Thank You ALL So Much!!
Thanks for the Beautiful Poem Anna...
Everybodys Thoughts,Prayers and Kind Sentiments mean so much..

I never realized how much this would hurt...not that I haven't lost Wonderful Pets before, but I guess the other ones were a little more anticipated...old age being their loss..
I've now lost 4 in a year...2 in a week..
This came So/Too quickly...I was forced to make this decision w/virtually no time to think about it....I question myself every day....
I hope I did right by both Joey and Deli...God knows I loved them...
Thank You ALL for Caring!!
Hug All Your Pets for Me!

Nicole,
Oh Yes, you would have made the right decision. No matter WHAT, you know that you stopped suffering ...... you did the right thing.

I am so sorry that I cannot be there with you. My Spotty 3 would smother you all over with their kisses and love, and make sure you KNOW you are being watched and adored from the Rainbow Bridge.

((((hugs))))

I know your pain. In 2008 I lost 4 pets in one year. 2 to the flood and 2 to illness. The flood was 2 at once and I thought that it was bad enough. Then nearly lost Tigger to an heart aliment (we would lose him the following year to liver failure) and then I got 2 baby iguanas that died weeks apart near the end of the year. So all in all I lost 5 pets in 2 years. It hurts. If you need someone to talk to, you can talk to me.
