So nice to see another Seal Point as COTD. As the owner/Mom of a 15 year old Seal Point, I can tell you stories!!! My guy is also vocal and gets what he wants. I'm so glad you hung in there; see what a wonderful guy you got out of that process? Rio, be VERY careful outside, it's a dangerous place; that's how your owners lost their first precious cat. Consider being an indoor only guy; much safer. Happy COTD

Rio, You are a very handsome boy and I just love your blue eyes. Considering that he doesnt like to have his photo taken, you did great! If looks could kill, I think you would at least be injured in the second photo (look at his eyes) LOL. Rio is so lucky that patient caring people adopted him. Not everyone would have been as patient and understanding as you. Thank Goodness, You kept him and now he and you enjoy each other. I am so glad everything worked out for all of you and hope you have more years together. Congrats on being COTD! Kay in NC

Rio, you could be my meezer's twin! Such handsomeness! So it took you a while to trust your humans; that's the way it goes sometimes. I do hope that you'll stay indoors so that your humans don't get their hearts broken again. Running away is a feline trick even though they love their home. The urge to roam sometimes is just too much. For now, though, enjoy your day as COTD, handsome boy. :)

What a Handsome Mighty Meezer you are Rio, you certainly are a Handsome Traditional Seal Point, you are such a Class Cat.
You remind me so much of My Sam and Bo Bo Angels.
:):)
How a Big Good Looking Fellow like you got to be put in a shelter is a sad comment on people not recognizing a treasure when they see it.
Thank God that your New Family saw you and gave you your Furr Ever Home!!!

Hello there Rio! So happy to meet you, and have the opportunity to honor you for the VERY special Meezer man that you are!:)

I'm so very sorry to hear that your beloved predecessor Miko went missing, never to be found.:( Your family must have been heartbroken beyond words! But what a comfort you no doubt were to them during those very sad days, even if it did take you awhile to open up! Who could blame you for being a bit hesitant at first! But what a wonderful addition to your family you came to be, and how lucky your humans are, having such a handsome, sweet, and loving furkid in you! We give great thanks to your family for having chosen to go the rescue route, with you and with Miko, both! How well there kindness and compassion have been repaid, with your unconditional love!

Congratulations and a very happy Cat of the Day to you, Rio! Enjoy a very happy day celebrating with your wonderful family, and many more love filled years together!:) Cuddles and kisses to you, precious Rio!:love::love:

Hello Rio - how beautiful you are! I have a kitty who, at six years old, is still skittish at times. While she isn't a lap cat, she will sit next to me and talk - lol! :)
Not all kitties are the same - some are distant, and some will never leave you alone - lol! But, they all deserve love and affection!
I hope that you have a great COTD status...everyday!

A Siamese with a "tiny little meow"? Unbelievable! But you've certainly learned how effective a soft request can be. Enjoy your special day!

How unusual for a Siamese not to have a voice to be heard! :D I used to collect JEM dolls and Jem/Jerrica's boyfriend was named Rio and he was as handsome as you are so your name is quite appropriate!

I'm sure you are glad your family did not give up and that you finally overcame your shyness and joined the household. May you have a wonderful COTD celebration, and be ever thankful for your blessings.:)
