What do I call the cable which goes from the modem to the computer?
It looks like a telephone cable -- it has that type of "plug" on it. The "plug" is plastic. That little lever piece, which clicks when you push the cable IN, and which you depress to remove the cable, has broken off, so the cable will not stay in place.
I need to get a new one, but I don't know what it is I am looking for on line.
BTW, I use Verizon FIOS. The "box" is both modem AND router for wireless. It is only my wireless which is not working; the main computer does work (that is how I am posting this). It's a nuisance as I do a lot of stuff on my laptop. I can only get in here to the "home office" when my Dad is in bed. I don't understand WHY the internet connection is working, lol. I am adding this so you better understand which cable I am needing to replace.
Thanks for guidance!
