I am so sorry for the loss of your Chester. He really did sound like quite the smart boy and he did live seventeen years. From experiencethough, I know it is difficult. Any cat that can turn a non-cat person into one who likes cat has to be special. His photo reminds me of my Luke with those blue eyes. I know you will keep him in your memories and heart but perhaps one day you will open your heart to another cat. Thank you for sharing Chester with us. No doubt he was a joy in your life. Kay in NC

If there is anything that makes losing such a Handsome Big Cat bearable, it is the thought that our parting is temporary.
And then All Of Our Dear Pet Companions are going to join Our Awesome Angels Army who own restaurants, hotels , shopping malls and resorts all over the world.
:):)
When Chester ^^ and All Of Our Angel Companions recieve their wings of Silver and Gold , they all have their choices of where they want to go, and where they want to stay and dine.
:cool::cool:
We know that Chester misses you and will be coming to keep an eye on you, until You All are Together Again In Love.
One Fine Day.

Dear Friend,
I do appreciate you sharing the life of the most extraordinary kitty named Chester. How blessed you were to have him so many years. You blessed him by saving his life and he returned it in a gentle way unlike many kitties. My eyes want to tear up when I think of him putting his sweet head down so he could be kissed, then learning to give those kisses back. I have a gray dilute tabby named Erin, a pretty 17 year old girl kitty who does the same thing as she sits on the arm of my lounge chair. Thus far, her health is doing okay but I do know I need to prepare for the eventuality of her passing. I hate to think of it.
Again, I thank you for sharing Chester with us. When someone shares their kitty or other pet who has gone over the Rainbow Bridge it is a special thing to me. The Bible says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints," meaning that He looks forward to His children coming Home to Heaven to be with Him always. I believe with all my heart that believers in Jesus will see their pets again, too. I do know there are going to be animals in the Heaven because the Bible says so. I have quite a few dear pets awaiting me when I go Home some day. I look forward to seeing them again.
I pray you are ready to leave this earth and enter into the Presence of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There is but one way and that is by accepting the sacrifice He made on the cross for our sins. My works could never get me into Heaven nor could I ever be so good. It must be by HIS sacrifice, thus I cannot boast.
Take care, my friend. May you be blessed beyond your ability to contain it all...
My love to all in my Lord Jesus,

What a beautiful, beautiful fellow Chester was! It's so wonderful you had each other for so many years. I loved my calico, Taffy, for twenty years. She was not the lovey-dovey type to most people, but she and I had a special bond. I rescued her from underneath a lawn mower after she and her mom and siblings had been abandoned by owners. It took me five years after losing her for me to even think of letting another cat own me. I am now Mother of Pearl and Lennox.
I recommend the book, Cat Heaven, by Cynthia Rylant, to anyone who has lost a dear feline friend. (And Dog Heaven for the dog owners.) It is a beautiful book.

Beautiful Chester, what a sweet and gentle boy you were, the most elegant and handsome of Meezers with a heart of pure gold. How lucky your dear Mommy was to have had you as her soul mate, her loyal and loving life partner those precious 17 years. As I like to say about my boy Oliver, you didn't have a mean bone in your body; you were all about the love. And yes Chester, you seem to have had more than a few of those "doggie traits," including being, like my Lab, a Velcro kid; never caring where you might be, as long as your Mommy was there by your side. Such devotion is one of the priceless gifts our furkids bless us with, just one of many, too many to name. And to think you were able to work your magic on your Grandma too, she who thought she didn't like kitties! Well, that was before she got to spend some quality time with you!:) You lived a long and wonderful life Chester, though even 17 years is not long enough. But happily, a day of joyful reunion awaits you and your Mommy, sometime in the distant future, and until then she has all of those wonderful memories you two made to cherish and keep her heart warm.

It was an honor meeting you today beautiful Chester, and I'm so happy we had the chance to pay tribute to you and all that meant you to your dear Mommy. You are truly a Cat of a Lifetime.:love::love:

Chester was such a handsome boy and he sounded like a real sweetheart too.:) It's great that he turned your mom into a cat lover even if she won't admit it.;) I love cat/dogs and have one myself named Sky. Congrats on being COTD!!!:D

Dearest Chester, to think you started life as a tiny rescue kitten, terrified for so long.

But you brought so much joy to everyone - even converting people who did not profess to even like cats. And your sweetest ever action of kissing and moving your head to be kissed is so precious.:love:

It is very difficult when our very special darlings go over the rainbow bridge. Chester - you have touched so many hearts from there, thanks to your wonderful and loving story and your absolutely beautiful photos. Forever our COTD, Chester.:love:
