I am so sorry your CJ passed away. From your writeup I can see that he was indeed a special boy. No doubt some people and animals thought he was a bear. I am not familiar with his breed but I enjoyed reading about all the things he liked to do.
I hope your loss lessens with time. From my own experience with losing pets, I know you will always keep him close in your heart and memories. Maybe some day you will think about getting another dog to love and love you. When my little Honey dog died, I thought I would not get another dog... but I got LilGirl and I am so glad I did. It does not lessen my love for my deceased dog; she is still in my heart. Thank you for sharing with us. Kay in NC

What a big, handsome, beautiful bear of a boy you were CJ; what a stunning representative of your beloved breed you were.
It breaks my heart to think that you and your family; your lifelong companion, your soul mate, are no longer together.:( You truly were a big ol' bear of a boy, a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Every dog loving family would be honored, bursting with pride, having a loyal and loving companion in you, CJ. And what impressive awards, honors and titles you and your person earned over the years...from your CGC to your CD and more; what a team! And even when you were entering your golden years, when other doggies might have understandably been satisfied to simply enjoy their retirement, there you were, ready to take on a new challenge, herding, and oh how you did your family proud!
You truly were your mommy's dog of a lifetime, her heart dog, and while you may have earned your angel wings, forever and always, until that day you and she are reunited, there you and your precious spirit, your legacy of love, will love on.
Many thanks to the family of beautiful CJ for sharing your precious boy with us. How blessed you were to have known his devotion and unconditional love those many years. But no matter how long our beloved furkids are with us it is never long enough, and hopefully, seeing him honored here today, and knowing that he waits for you patiently at the Rainbow Bridge, puts a smile on your face, and brings some comfort to your days until you are together once more.:)
Run happy and healthy at the Rainbow Bridge with all of our beloved furangels beautiful CJ, our extra special and most deserving Sunday Dog of the Day, Dog of a Lifetime.
