Hi,

I've only seen one in pictures. There's a website called Golden Doodles (http://www.goldendoodles.com) , and it also has link for Labrador Doodle. The puppies are all so cute! Guess a perfect combination ;) Do you have one?

I have half of a Labradoodle - I have a standard poodle! :D I think there was a Labradoodle as Dog of the Day once. I'll have to search and see if I'm right. That website for the Golden Doodle was amazing. What a terrific combination of dogs - goldens, labs, poodles - hey you can't go wrong there!

Nope- couldn't find one, but I know I've seen them before!

Yes I have a labradoodle, now 18 months old. All black. She looks like a giant (75 lbs) terrior. Andy Rooney eyebrows and a beard with some hints of brown in it. She carries her tail upright and has sprigs of hair sticking out off of her legs. She has a curled wave to her 4 inch hair on her back. The first generation crosses can have 5 different types of hair in one litter. Curly, semi curly, heavy wave, straight etc. Some shed, some don't. The straighter the hair the more shedding. "Gabby" sheds alot:eek: They breed smaller lines of poodle into them also doodle to doodle. Mine was a love child. Standard poo mom and labby dad.She is huge. Some of the males go 100+ Also the goldenpoos get very large too. Larger than either parent.

I was almost right! It wasn't a lab mix but a golden mix. I did another search and look how cute!!! This is Dakota, a standard poodle/golden mix from 9/6/02!

I've seen the adds in my local newspaper for them. And even if they are cute, the real question is "Why are people breeding them when there are already so many homeless pets????????"

I'm torn about this. One one hand I think it's irresponsible to be making another breed of dog when there are so many homeless ones already. It just seems wrong to "manufacture" more puppies. On the other hand, I think it's good health wise for a lot of breeds to cross-breed every once in a while.

I hadn't heard of Labradoodle's until recently when one was up for adoption at a local shelter. I found this fuzzy guy on Petfinder and fell in love!!

Hello, I have an off white one. She is from a dam being a cream labrador retriever ( with the longish hair like golden retrievers) and a sire which was a white standard poodle. All their puppies look like my tiffany, with the poodle coat, very curly and non sheding. I went to a romp in Perth and I saw the most amazing different types of dogs that were called"Labradoodles"....alas, I found some to be small labradors and some to look like huge tall hairy elkhounds..........all lovely and all bouncy, bouncy like mine, but way too many different types, ,,,,,,,,,,,I was in shock, as not ever owning one before, I thought they were all the same. Some were- well, you could not tell the difference between a mini poodle and them, even had the hair cut to suit a poodle.

well, some people, like myself, can not have a dog unless they are non shedding. I have had many poodles, but have lost them through in-breeding ( breeders call this 'Line Breeding') It has been told to me by my vet, that this is one of main problems, so after my last one dies, I did not wan't another, so my daughter found this and talked me into getting her. The best thing I did. .....I have done the rescue with poodles, all lost before they were mature due to a multitude of problems.
