I've started a new Facebook group called Artisans Feeding America (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_107878162614388). It's a group for creative people to put up charity auctions on eBay with the proceeds going to Feeding America. With the unemployment extension cut off, it would be a great time to get those pantries stocked up! Who's with me?
Yes, eBay is seller-hostile and has all kinds of problems, and not everybody uses Facebook. But you can certainly put up an auction for Feeding America without joining the group, and eBay's a widespread enough platform that I thought this might catch on. FAIR WARNING: GivingWorks (eBay's charity processor) requires a $1 donation from the seller if the item sells, and I believe the seller pays postage. But if it's worth it to you to put some nutritious food in front of a hungry kid somewhere - here's your chance!
