RIP Scruff - August 25, 2010 to October 19, 2010

Today was very hard.....but it had to be done.

Scruff was suffering. He could not even get up on his own at times.

We took him in today and Dave and I stood brave as we handed him to his creator. He passed so peacefully....he was gone before the vet was even finished.

Scruff was the best dog there was....he gave us so many smiles and memories. I wish you all could have met him.....he was truly an amazing boy.

There is so much I want to say..so much I planned to say....but the words escape me right now. For that I am sorry to all of you and to Scruff.

Right now Piglet - Scruff best doggie bud, lays on Scruff's bed...just laying there so sad.

Thank you everybody for all the kind words, prayers, and love you sent to our boy. He is at peace now and is with Lady, Feisty, Dave's mom, my Uncle, my Nonna, and all the others we have lost.

I love you Scruff...more then I ever thought I could. I will miss you so very much...but I know we will meet again....one fine day.

Until then....don't forget us.

I am so sorry. Typing through tears right now. Uh-oh, one escaped down my face. Such a sad day. First Tiki and now Scruff. :(
At least they are both up at the bridge. I'm sure they've met and are having a great time.

Tears here Tracy. I'm so sorry.:( Scruff is healthy now and running and playing at the Rainbow Bridge. You will see him again one day. Piglet will be ok in time. That's one of the hardest things, watching a furkid miss the one who's gone. Great big {{{hugs}}} to you and your family and furkids. We're all here for you.

Karen - I cannot thank you enough for making Scruff Dog of the Day on 10/10/10. It meant more to me then you can ever possible know. Thank you.

I miss him so much. I let the pups outside last night. When it was time to let them in, Bella and Tanner were at the door...as Bella came in, I saw Piglet sitting in the middle of our yard - staring at the sky. I had to flicker the light (he's deaf), he looked back at me, looked back up at the sky and then came in....wonder if he saw Scruff....wonder if they spoke to one another......

This morning, I found myself saying "come on Scruff" as I headed toward my room to check my emails....I stopped and said...."Oh Scruff....." Now I am in tears.

The pain is more then I ever imagined possible....

Thank you everybody....it has been a very hard week and a half without our boy. I keep calling his name....thinking he is walking past me when it is one of the other dogs...ugh.

We picked up his ashes yesterday....that was very hard..think it actually hit me...he is really gone.

My thoughts are with you ......... I just looked through your facebook pictures. He sure was a beautiful boy ..... I remember him being DOTD and I played that video to my dogs.
They went mad looking for the dog in the PC.
