I couldn't resist. :)
Hello, Janice. I just had to comment on your little cottontail rabbit. He's a cute little feller. My grandfather used to take me rabbit and quail hunting when I was a kid (he passed away in 1969, when I was 18) and I never cared for shooting rabbits. That being said, you'll understand what I mean when I say I became a "very poor shot" when it came to rabbits. I always shot over them, behind them, anywhere but at them. It didn't please my grandfather very much but it pleased me. :)
I pray the Lord blesses you for your love of living things. This world is so hurting when it comes to love. People barely manage to love other people at times, much less have love for an animal which normally isn't considered a pet. I always thought cottontails were cute but never had the opportunity to have one for a true pet. We raised a wild one up for a bit when it lost it's mommy but then when it got old enough, we had to let it go. I can still see it running, zig-zagging as it went. It was neat to watch it as it embraced it's freedom.
Take care, Janice. May you and Alfie and your other pets share long, happy healthy lives together.
