I was at the gas station on my way back from Delaware with my dog Seven in the back seat when a little girl in the back of a Durango starts yelling to her mom that the white dog looks like "Vegas".
Her mom gets out of the truck and her husband walks away from the pump and both ask me what kind of dog I have. Sev was a rescue and to the best of my knowledge, he was a shepherd/lab mix. They laughed and called for Vegas and up pops this dog who looks exactly like Seven. Same size, same face, same ears and tail. They told me that most people don't know what the breed is, but they do. They're called Carolina Dogs (http://www.carolinadogs.com/) . The guy told me to check out the site when I got home and I'd be amazed at what I found. They said that they actually have 3 of them and Vegas is the oldest but they had never seen one that was all white with a pink nose.
Well... I flew home to PA and checked the site like they told me to and was like wow... That's my dog! They were on the money. At least now I know what my boy is. Pretty cool, but sad too. I though he was a mutt and his looks were unique.
At least he's the only white one for now!
