Hi, Kenny. I just wanted to congratulate you on taking good care of Doogy. Wild turtles don't always do well in captivity and apparently you're doing everything right for your little friend. I've always liked turtles and I'm going on sixty years old. It passes so quickly, Kenny, so don't worry about wanting to grow up too quickly. It'll be there before you know it. Turtles are cool animals. I've saved a lot of Eastern Box Turtles from being killed on the highway by stopping and putting them in a safe place off the road. I even saved a mean-spirited snapping turtle once, even as it tried to remove my foot from my leg. :) Guess he didn't understand I was only trying to help him. Anyway, he chewed my shoe a bit but I got him off the road and away from harm.
Doogy's a really handsome little turtle. I have no idea how one tells if a turtle is a boy or girl but whatever Doogy is, he's pretty and handsome, both. :)
Well, take care, my young friend, and may the Lord bless you, your family and Doogy, too. May you do well in school and live a life of which you will look back when you're older and know you did your best, always, and treated people as you would have them treat you.
My love to all...
