My friend Danielle who took over bottle feeding her called in a panic. Molly has chewed the only nipple that I gave her to feed with. She'll be 6 weeks tomorrow and has REALLY sharp teeth, so I know she can be weaned. I told Danielle to bring her over with her litter box and the KMR and canned kitten food, and I'd have her weaned by the end of the week. She says she's tried mixing the KMR with the canned food and she wants no part of it unless it's in a bottle. I told her to toss the bottle out.
I cannot get over how big and plump she is. Her eyes are dark and she is full of piss and vinegar. I made her a "sock buddy" and sprayed catnip on it and she LOVES it.
I mixed KMR and canned food in a dish so it was mushy. I tried putting her front paws in it. Didn't work.
I then got a tablespoon and she was lapping it up. After 4 tablespoons, I figured I'd put her in front of the saucer. I gave her one more tablespoon near the dish and moved the spoon away. She immediately started eating from the dish!!!! She ate about a 1/4 of it, then went into the litterbox, peed and curled up in her carrier for a little snooze.
She'll be weaned in a day or two. Then she'll go back to her new home with Danielle.
I'll try to get a picture of her before she goes home.
Now my job is DEFINITELY done!!!:D:D She is a walking, mewing miracle!
