Since it's so hot across most of the country, I think it's time to call a waterworks Thursday and fill up the kiddie pools on the patio and fire up the BBQ....

Hot dog and hamburgers, marcaroni salad and chips.

Beer and wine coolers!

I'd like to thank LH for taking over for me last week!

We can fill it with our river water. It's rained here for over a week. Finally having a dry day. If our river water is good enough for us to drink (and we do) it ought to be safe enough for the kiddie pools. :D

I got a watermelon at the store yesterday. I'll share!
Can I have a big juicy hamburger and onion rings and cherry limeade too.
Oh, and 6 catnip teas on ice? :D :love:

Hey everyone, could I get a blueberry ice tea please? Or better yet hows about a mint ice tea with fresh mint from my herb garden.

I've also got lots of fresh from the garden peas, green beans and broccoli to share.:D

The fruits of labor can be sweet.

I started my 'maters late. So, I didn't notice the 5 foot tall mater plant that was "hiding" next to the compost heap until I pulled it up and staked it out!:D

Yeah we have some sort of squash growing in our compost heap. We're not even sure what kind it is. All dozen or so of our tomato plants either have flowers and or tomatoes on them. Broccoli is coming in as well as zucchini and summer squash and we have an egg plant, lots of peas and green beans. I'm gonna be busy with the whole canning thing.
