I know...Ilove the vets' efforts...but it is not the same as a forever home!!!

All the homes I know of already have at least one pet, but surely someone needs her! :(

Have you advertised this collie locally? I've had good success with using ads, especially ones that list the dog's breed and/or have a picture. Humor has worked sometimes. Here is an example of one ad I wrote: PLAYFUL, HANDSOME REDHEAD seeks companion for long walks together, riding in your truck, camping, fishing trips and cozy nights by the fire. Ask for Rusty the Retriever puppy at the Smith Animal Shelter; phone # _________.

I would gladly make the 7 hr drive over to KC for the pup but we are not an only pet family. I hope the best for her. I'll even see if there is anyone around here looking for a dog (Dad's got to go up to KC soon anyways)
