I am glad to report that Lake Edward will open this year, with a substantially shorter shoreline.

After years of fighting against shorelines that spilled over onto the tile floors?

I finally figured out how to keep Ed from moving the waterdish/pan all over the floor.

I changed his waterbowl from plasitc pet job to an old sauce pan that I was going to toss out.

That didn't help.

About a month ago I found an old frying pan and placed the saucepan inside!!!

The floor has stayed dry since!

Ed still can move the saucepan back and forth-he loves to lick the water off of the sides-and it spills into the frying pan.

It's one more thing to do, but it sure beats having to friggin' mop all the time!

Surf's Up, Dudes!:D

My RB Sunny loved to play in the water bowls so my mom came up with the idea of putting them inside of a clean litter box. I've been doing this for years now and it works out great.:) I now use large ceramic casserole dishes for their water bowls and they are heavy enough that the cats can't really move them or knock them over. Good luck with Ed.:)

As they say Richard Necessity is the Mother Of Invention.
That's great that you will not be slipping in Lake Edward and hopefully have conquered the problem of wet floors forever!:)
