Milly Cockatiel

Our little gray lady, Milly, Roger's partner, mother of Bennie and many others, flew to heaven during the night last night. I know a lot of old timers around here will remember the beautiful love affair between Roger and Milly. They have been a part of our family for over 8 years.

It has not been a good couple of months to be a pet in our home, I'm afraid. We have lost Butter and Milly. My signature is definitely outdated these days.

Thanks for enjoying and participating in our stories with the Cockatiels all these years, my friends. We are in hopes that Roger can adjust to life without Milly and bond with us again and be happy. I'm afraid he is going to be lost without her.

Godspeed to RB. Look for my pretty girl Rockie and tell her that I still miss her after all these years. She'll be easy to find, for she is the brightest all yellow one there, with the brightest of bright cheeks of orange too. I'm sure you'll have a good time together. :)

Oh no Logan! I'm so sorry to hear about Milly. I remember all about Roger and Milly's love affair.

My Bessie has lost 2 mates in her lifetime and she is doing well. (one was a lot older than her and one was unexpected) Roger might need some time to adjust and a lot of extra love.

I'm so sorry to hear about Milly. I know that you and Roger will miss her, but she lives in your hearts and you can find her there very easily. I remember getting quite a giggle over their names when I first joined Pet Talk because the Associate Minister of my church at that time was named Milly and her husband is named Roger. :)

Logan, I'm so sorry to hear that your beautiful bird Milly has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.:(
I remember the love story of Roger and Milly and I remember how they surprised you with some eggs that hatched into cute little baby birdies!
Do you still keep in touch with the people who adopted Bennie & the other two babies? I think it was a Pet Talker who adopted Bennie.
I was lucky enough to meet Roger & Milly when I visited you a few years ago, of course I have a couple of photos of them, I hope you don't mind if I post them.

I hope that Roger is doing ok without her, I know that they had a close bond.
I'm sure that Milly will meet my RB parakeet T-bird up at the Rainbow Bridge.
