Yay! Ice cream! Blueberry ice cream for me to start!

I have never had or even seen pineapple sherbert, maybe it's a West Coast thing? Like I understand that in some parts of the country, one cannot find black raspberry ice cream, dunno why!

So you don't think I am pulling your leg!:D

Savon, a chain of drug stores, used to have an ice cream counter.

They had all kinds of exotic flavors. Black walnut was killer!

I would think that BRB are so seasonal that they would be a rare base for ice cream maybe?

That reminds me of my XBIL who had never eaten an avocado until he came to CA!

Blueberry Ice Cream>?

Oh, that drink sounds great! I'll have - remember it's virtual - the original Haagen Dazs Honey Vanilla Ice Cream. They don't make it anymore and I will remember that taste FOREVER! It was when Haagen Dazs first came into the states, I think, and it was WONDERFUL!! :D

Thanks. A friend of mine from high school's family moved to Florida when we were sophomores, and she now lives in Texas. She says the one thing she misses most is Black Raspberry Ice Cream. It's available year-round here, and is Dad's favorite, so we always took it for granted!

Gosh, have you ever cracked black walnuts? The shells are incredibly hard, and will not yield to a normal wimpy nutcracker, we had to use an ancient cast iron one salved from Uncle Mac's old general store. But they are worth the effort. Best sundae? (I had no food allergies then)

Cracked black walnuts and warmed maple syrup over vanilla ice cream. Yum! Pure silken luxury in a bowl.

We have pineapple sherbet here, tho it must be fairly new to this area, since I only first noticed it last year. I tried it since I love pineapple, but it really didn't have much taste IMO. I'll stick with the lime and raspberry.

And since you mentioned rum, I could go for a nice big bowl of rum raisin ice cream, served with lactose enzyme tablets please!:D

I gave into my hanker and got some mango fro-yo and topped it with kiwi, strawberries, mangoes and coconut .... it was SO good! Love Tutti-Melon - these self-serve yogurt joints are spurting up everywhere; some of them are really good too.

I'm also going to go check out this new place in San Francisco this weekend -- look at these flavors!

Hee hee - I went to the site, and it had a link for direction. It said it would take me two days and two hours, but gave me directions nonetheless!

Hey Karen, LH got Aunt Betty's butterscotch sauce just right. It hits the ice cream and turns to the consistency of plastic. MMMmmmmm. Anybody want some on their ice cream. We also have Aunt Bertha's hot fudge too. Any takers?

Oh, so yummy! Love a little of both on some ice cream! Isn't it the best? I gave that recipe to a "foodie" friend, and she would serve it to guests over cheesecake, winning raves every time!
