Does that mean lie down, or not tell the truth?

I tell Sunny to "lay down"

She doesn't lie or fib, to the best of my knowledge :)

Welllllll....Casey used to lie. She would get in the garbage when I was not home. I would come home and ask her if she got in the garbage and she would lower her head in shame. I knew it was her and not the cats LOL!

My guys don't lie, but they do yell back. Sonny yells at my husband if he tries to move him away from the spot on his shirt that Sonny is currently boring a hole through or some such thing. nOOdles and Sprout scream their brains out if they don't like what I am doing in or around what they consider their territory.

Djimo has a funny thing that he does that's kinda like lying. He will throw something down that he shouldn't (like a full bowl of budgie seed and then the water on top of it - I have to be very careful about leaving their cage open when he is on the perches around the cages) then he screeches in triumph. I know that sound, so I go into the room to reprimand him and he looks at me in shock then turns his back on me and walks away. Some attitude, hunh?

Yea she actually was telling the truth. She sort of had a conscience.

I picked rarely. I'm sure they aren't always telling the story straight.;)

That was the weirdest poll question ever. Mine look too guilty if I catch them at it and if it's too many hours, it doesn't matter, because they won't remember anyway.

Every once in a while Gracie, the 3/4 Great Dane 1/4 Lab, would escape when we were putting her out on her chain/run. It was hopeless to try and catch her, she was fast when she wanted to be. But sometimes, after such an adventure, she'd come back, and lay in the exact spot on the porch where she'd be if she was on her chain, as if to say "I've been here all along, honest!"

Mr. Jones lies constantly.

At night, he always goes up to his milk bowl, as if he hasn't had any catmilk yet. But I tell him 'stop lying' and acting like you have not had any milk yet.
He's pretty convincing sometimes.

I know Bon lies;)

I've fed him before work and forgot to tell Mark, so when he comes home Bon acts like he's starved to death...so Mark feeds him again!

Cincy tries that too, but it rarely works for her!

My cats will also lie to me about food. Even though I do all of the feeding, they beg for more food and act like they're starving or haven't eaten in a long time. Sometimes they do this right after they've just eaten.

All of my mammal pets lie about food. You would think I never fed the kitties with all of the fussing they do! I found out recently that my girl kitty, Charlie, lies about how much her fluids hurt.

I was feeling bad thinking that I was hurting her when I gave her sub-Q fluids until last time I went to give them and she started cringing and whining before I had even put a new needle on the line. So, I stroked her and waited a few minutes, then slipped the needle in and she didn't even twitch her skin. Dramatic girlie.
