On May 8th my husband and I will be celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary and 29 years of living together. We only dated three weeks before moving in together on May 6th of 1981 which would mean we're not far off from our first date anniversary. Can anyone guess what our first date was??

A DRIVE IN DOUBLE FEATURE!! Now, for the bonus, what were the movies we saw? I'll leave you in suspense for a while....guess with your order!

There is still a Drive in in Reno...the last movie I saw there was a double feature of Jurrassic Park and the Flintstones Movie lol.

Im thinking of finding a place to do a rogue drive in here. Its where you set up a projector outside with a FM transmitter and send out online invites with the GPS coordinates...kind of like geocahing with a movie :D

Anyone want to come? Bring the pets and the popcorn! Ill bring the soda :D

Just set the Big Screen TV in the dining room picture window,
open the side windows for sound,
then pull the Bus out of the garage and point towards the screen.

No tickets required.

I only went to one drive-in ever when I was a little kid. I went with my mom and dad and they were showing a double-feature. . ."Willard" and "Night of the Living Dead"! Mom let me watch Willard then fed me something and made me lie down across the seat during Night of. . .so I wouldn't have nightmares. But I could still hear the munching and slurping noises through the speaker!!! :D:D:D

In honor of that night. . .a hot dog, a coke and some popcorn please!!

When I was REALLY young, we would pile into the station wagon and go to the drive-in. Then, where there is now a McDonald's, there was an A&W. In honor of dusty old memories I'd like a grilled dog and a root beer float.

So Lets Lower the Truck's TailGate & get out the blankets & bring on the drinks & popcorn.. Lets see if we can find Orc.. Keep looking.. Ohhh crap there he is running around with the Mega Blaster Water Gun..:p Orc come here & sit down & watch the movie.. :cool: Also note the Classic Car too..

No drive ins here any more. The nearest is near the Oklahoma border, I think. Way to far to go.

I made some bbq chicken today. Anyone for a bbq chicken sandwich to munch? The drive in we used to have here, made the bestest burgers and hot dawgs in the world.

Some cheese popcorn and a cherry limeade too, please? The kats have their jammies on and would like some cnt. :D

Depends Karen what part of here are you talking about? As far as I know there's still the Mendon Twin Drive In right off Route 16 and there's still one down toward Rhode Island as well.

Mendon is the best though they make all their food to order. No sitting under the warming lamps for these guys. You can get tacos, chilly and burgers made to order as well as all the regular yummies. Heck yeah, I'd love to go to the drive in.

Awesome choice davidp, I think we should make it a double feature, Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead. Those were the first two zombie movies I ever saw, scared the living day lights out of me. Then my little brother made me sit through "Night of the Living Dead 3" It was the funniest thing I ever saw. After that zombie movies didn't scare me so much any more.

Had an unexpectedly yummy supper - and geographically kinda diverse!

New York Rye bread one slice with Italian plum tomato slices
Second slice with Wisconsin sharp cheddar
Toasted in the toaster oven, so the cheese melts and the tomato slices warm
Add two slices of cooked bacon - mine happened to be from Omaha Steaks and form a sandwich.

Yummy! So good I'll have to buy some more tomatoes (that was the last one I happened to have) and do it again.

Anyone want one?

And a good cool glass of tea, please, bartender!

I need a good stiff drink! I was "training" at another post yesterday...what they failed to mention is that the patrol route is a mile and a half long and you have to walk it once an hour. I went from walking about 4 miles at my last post to walking over 10!! :eek: My foot is killing me...and I have a sunburn on my face and back of my neck (first burn of the year, yay lol)
