View Full Version : Oh No. Look what happenened!

Gosh this is Kirby. Kirby was in the dog run for the afternoon and he somehow slipt through the gate. Orin was outside playing and Orin DOES NOT like other males that are un or recently altered. This boy had just been neutered. Orin attacked him! Poor Kirby. We rushed outside, and stopped it, grabbed Kirby and brought him inside to be looked over. Orin tore him up pretty bad with two deep bite wounds and two that barely broke the skin. We rushed him to emergency, and Kirby had to have surgery. THis is him now four days after his surgery with all his drain tubes. The one bite wound (which ALL three tubes are for) was two 1/2 inches deep. So Kirby's surving! Poor boy, we felt so bad for him. He's doing well now, and Orin's now ALWAYS surely away from the male dogs! We still love Orin though! Not his fault, just a dog thing, which happens. We now have to play the switching game in letting Orin in and out and who's already outside. ;)

Poor little guy. I'm glad that Orin isn't being blamed for what happened. I'm glad that Kirby's going to be alright...thanks for letting us know.

Oh my he looks terrible! I hope he heals up fast. And guess Orin will really need to stay away from other male dogs. Yes, it is a dog thing but still too bad.

He has such unsual markings! What kind of pup is he?

Poor Kirby!!! He is a cute pup though!

It is always hard when dogs get in fights...you know they aren't always going to get along, and you try to prevent but sometimes....

Kirby's adorable!! Sorry he got injured. Definite reason to be sure Orin doesn't have the opportunity to do this again. Sorry for both of them.

I'm so sorry for little Kirby:( He sure is a cutie. I hope that Orin still holds a special place in your heart. A dog thing for sure, but still it was hard to hear this. Get well soon dear, little Kirby.

Kirby's a littie Merle Sheltland Sheepdog/Pomeranian mix. He has a gorgeous long coat, which had to be shaved off when we got him because he was so matted! Thanks for everyone's concerns and thoughts. :-D Poor guy has to get his drains flushed EVERYDAY!

Oh, Poor Kirby:( He looks so sad. But very beautiful, I love the eyes.
Get better fast boy, & stay away from Orin!

Oh my gosh, poor Kirby, he really did get hurt, that photo brings back bad memories for me, but I'm so glad that he is doing well and healing. I'm glad Orin is O.K. too and has a special place in your heart, but he will really have to be watched after this.
