I dunno; I don't mind watching Donald Driver without a shirt on. What eye candy! (Of course, he's also a Green Bay Packer!)

We need to start a new thread with each season. Wading through last years posts is a pain.
Anyway.....cassiesmom, which star were you surprised about their reaction? The female, right? Yeah, she thought she was all that and she really wasn't.
Ok, I'm going to say who was kicked off, so if you don't know............don't look!!

They kept saying Melissa was the come back kid. I'm sorry, but IMO she did not improve. She had better dances toward the beginning of the season. I think Roshon was the come back kid. At least his scores from the judges improved. Melissa's didn't improve much.
Oh well, they are both gone now. At this point I like all four that are left. So the finale will be all good for me. :D

I liked Melissa but that Max who was her partner I can not stand. I was yelling at my tv when they were showing the clips of their practice sessions. He was yelling at Melissa for "making me look bad!!!" Nope, Max, you make yourself look bad. You need no help doing that!!! I'm glad he is gone but not that Melissa is.

I am not at all happy about last night's decision. That couple should be in the final. I think a different couple should have been eliminated.

I think I'm done with "Dancing with the Stars". I'm surprised by the outcome. It feels to me like a popularity contest with dancing.

I was glad that Donald won. He worked hard and improved over the weeks. The other two seemed to have the judges drooling over them all season. I was afraid william would get it just because he shook his bum and had his shirt open all season.

I liked Donald - I thought he was good. I'm glad little Ms Snooty Cheryl didn't win again. Ok - my claws are coming out now - but is it just me, or does anyone else think she looks terrible with long hair?? She needs to go back to the short pixie look - she was much more appealing back then. But it's not her looks so much, as her attitude now - being a celebrity of sorts has really gone to her head!!!

No it's not just you, I have never liked Cheryl and wouldn't miss her if she left. She certainly does have an attitude and comes off as a slut, can I say that here? I read a few things about her that makes me believe that is what she really is, she looks and acts like one. The other female pro's don't come off looking that way. Anyway I was thrilled that she lost, Donald deserved to win.
Tonight I may not be so happy, I voted for Phillip last night quite a few times, I just hope he wins cuz I can't stand Jessica. Ok I will now retract my claws.

I liked Cheryl for the first couple of seasons, but then she got too big for her britches. She thinks she's the best thing that ever happened to DWTS. Newsflash!!! Wrong! And don't worry - if Karen doesn't like your description of her, she'll let you know!
I don't watch Idol, but I think I'm going to check out that new show that premiers tomorrow - Duets. It should be pretty good.

I was on Donald's side from the beginning - he just had "something" that made me smile - maybe his smile? And their Free Style was sensational!!
I love it that a different pro also won. Just her 2nd season and she's a winner. Better than going out first as she did last time, dancing with Ron Artest - aka as Meta World Peace.
They were on Jimmie Kimmel last night and I watched that. He commented she's a winner in just her 2nd season, and that must p*ss Max off. I read later on that she has been dating Max :D
Half of the winners of DWTS - 7 out of 14 - have been athletes. They usually are in better condition than the others, and know how to take coaching.

I was going to watch Duets when Lionel Ritchie was supposed to be on, he is my favorite singer but now I see John Legend will be on instead. I don't know what happened with Lionel but that is what made me want to watch. I'll watch the show if nothing is on at the same time slot.

The way you guys feel about Cheryl is exactly how I feel about Karina. However, just a few episodes ago Cheryl said something and I was shocked she said it. And of course, now I can't even remember what she said. But I thought.......wow, that was rude! And I've never felt that way about her. I think because she is sort of local to me (San Francisco). But she's not my favorite, for sure.
I hope Lacey comes back next year. I really like her! :)
Oh, back to the show. I figured Donald would win. He is more popular to America than the other two. And it is a popularity show, after all, not a dance competition.
But I do love his smile! :D

We think too much alike - I love Lionel Ritchie too. Must be an age thing. I don't know how old you are, but since you're retired too, I know you must be somewhere around my age.:p

LOL, yes it must be an age thing because the only Ritchie most of the younger folks know is Nicole. I was a huge fan of the Commodores way back when. Lionel was a mentor on The Voice and I enjoyed seeing him there. Not long ago there was a special on TV where singers sang all Ritchie songs with him singing some of them also, it was a great show and a nice tribute to him, I hope you caught it too.

I watched a show where he retraced his family tree, it was awesome.

Season 16 started tonight ... did anyone see it? What did you think? A few new pros this time. I caught almost the whole first hour and they looked mostly pretty good!

Absolutely I saw it, it looks like a good season. I still haven't learned who everyone is yet, but it looks like it's going to be a good season. It usually takes two or three weeks before you know who's going to shine. DL Hugely should be the first to go, based on last night. He was pretty bad. Otherwise, it looks like a great cast.

Yes, we watched, from beginning to end. I like Kellie Pickler and Zendaya - whoever she is - so graceful and so young. The new pros - I think it takes a full season or two before I can figure them out. I do like Tristan and Peta - but they're not new anymore.
I really miss Edyta - wish she would come back once in awhile.

I enjoyed Kellie Pickler. I adore Ingo Rademacher and his dance did not disappoint me. Yummy. His character on General Hospital, Jax, has long been one of my favorites.
I like one of the new pro-dancers too - Gleb. He is dancing with Lisa Vanderpump (who I've never heard of before).

I'm watching! Happy that it's back on. I enjoyed most of the performances excepts for DL Hugely. He did not do well at all. Really, really liked Kelli Pickler and Zendaya!! That young girl is awesome!

How did Aly Raisman do? I don't generally watch Dancing with the Stars, but she's a local girl to us! :)

I thought Aly did a great job. Definitely one to watch as the show progresses.

D.L. Hughley looked the weakest to me. I was impressed by Ingo Rademacher and Jacoby Jones. Will have to keep watching.

D.L. and Andy are the comedians, but I think Jacoby is the funniest of them all! And I mean his personality. He has me laughing all the time! :D Andy is funny too, but DL tries too hard to be funny then you can't understand him half the time. He is trying SOOO hard to dance well though, I will give him that. He just doesn't have it in him, poor guy.
I think Kellie and Zendaya are the best dancers.

Can someone tell me who got eliminated from Dancing with the Stars last night? I missed it. Maybe PM in case anyone didn't see it - I don't want to be a spoiler. I'm rooting for Kellie Pickler, Aly Raisman and the young girl from the Disney Channel. Didn't see Andy or the guy from the Bachelor either and I forgot to DVR it.

Well, now I have a problem because I like everyone who's left! I don't want to see any of them get eliminated! I really liked Monday night's opening number choreographed by Lacey Schwimmer.
Steve Arnold

I really liked Monday's show - I loved all the doubles dancing. I thought DL was such a gracious gentleman about losing, but I was glad Victor didn't go, he has a lot of potential that hasn't been realized yet. But I think in the end it's going to come down to Kellie, Zendaya, Ally, and Jacoby. And between those four, right now it's a complete tossup.

I liked the immunity thing this week. I missed it Tuesday night but my mom told me who got voted off and said she wasn't surprised, because although the person was fun to watch they weren't such a good dancer. I won't say who got voted in case anyone has not seen it.
Steve Arnold

I agree - not a great dancer, but fun to watch. But the competition is getting tougher, it's time to narrow it down to those who are doing the best.

I know who was eliminated this week. I like all the remaining stars, so whoever wins, I will be happy.
One of the people injured in the Boston Marathon explosions is a ballroom dancing instructor, so I wonder if DWTS will be doing anything to help her. I hope so!

I agree, the rest are great dancers!!
They did do a segment on the woman injured in Boston. They are helping her in her recovery and hope to have her dance on the show once she is able.

I've never known it to be so close at the final before - the final four are so close that it's a virtual four way tie. It's really anyone's to win. All four of them have been at the top at various points and they were all in top form last week.

I didn't watch the show last evening. There was the Oklahoma tornado and the Wings - Blackhawks hockey game. GO WINGS!!
I did find Kellie and Derek's free style on line this morning - it was like nothing I've ever seen before. No props - just pure dancing. Absolutely fantastic!!

I only saw about half of last night's show - Bill Nye looked uncomfortable. I was most impressed by Elizabeth Berkeley. Who is Mark Ballas's partner?
Taz_Zoee
09-17-2013, 04:54 PM
Mark's partner is Christina Milian. I only know her as a co/host (kind of) on The Voice.
Apparently she is an actress/singer-songwriter.
I thought she did a good job on her dance.
I wasn't paying full attention to the show, I have to admit, but some people were very good.
Of course a few of them have dancing in their background, so it's a bit easier for them to "get it".

She nailed it. 9 from Len, 9 from Bruno, 9 from Carrie Ann in the first week!
