I don't think we've covered smoothies before. Smoothies are a relative new thing in Denmark, but very popular. I bought a couple of bags of frozen blueberries and rashberries and thought I'd have a go. :)
Got any good recipes?
Actually, this one sounds good - think I'll try that!
1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
7 oz vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons orange juice
1/2 teaspoon
(http://www.smoothieweb.com/blueberry-heaven-smoothie-recipe/#)
1/2 cup ice
Preparation:
To make this quick free smoothie recipe just simply place the blueberries into your blender, followed by the lemon juice, orange juice, vanilla extract, yogurt and finally the ice. Blend on full power for around 30 seconds. Serve at once. Perfect for a hot summer day. Serves one.

I don't necessarily follow any specific recipe - I like to experiment. I haven't made any with yogurt, but I've been meaning to try some of those ideas. Right now, I like to use a good fruit juice blend as a starter, and then add in the fresh fruit. I'm hooked on this one at present.
10-12 oz of V-8 Splash tropical blend. (It's a blend of apple, pineapple, kiwi, mango, and lime juice.)
One fresh banana.
One cup of fresh or drained canned pineapple.
Toss all in the blender at high speed until well blended. Pour over crushed ice, or drink as is.
I also like the V-8 Splash strawberry banana blend juice. Same as above - only add banana and strawberries.
I also like to take and pour the mixture into paper cups and freeze. You can either break up the frozen mixture and eat in chunks since it won't freeze rock hard with the fresh fruit in it, or toss the frozen mixture back into the blender just long enough to break it up so that it's like a slushie. It's really good that way as a nice icey drink on a hot day! :)

For those of us who are food intolerant, I came up with a smoothie that is gluten and dairy free:
1 cup raspberries
1 cup strawberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1 cup vanilla almond milk (unsweetened)
1 tsp flax seed oil
1 scoop rice protien powder
blend and enjoy, without tummy problems!

My smoothie is my after workout treat. Tonight I put frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, fresh blueberries, plain yogurt, a splash of milk, oj, and pomegranate juice, a tsp of honey and a half teaspoon of vanilla and 2 packs of plenda. It was just wonderful.
