Okay, pet lovers, just an idea I'd like to toss around.

Craigslist has pet and pet services areas. Unfortunately, many, many BYB's post in CL to sell their ill bred pups and kitties.

Users can flag posts, however, it takes many flags to get an ad pulled.

Here's where PT could come in.

If we had a thread/stick or some such where PTers could post craigslist ads violating the CL TOS, we could flag them and get them pulled much quicker, thereby denying the BYBs that channel to "rehome" their pups/kitties/birds.

Any thoughts?

(PT activism in a way we might actually be able to make a difference, albeit a small one!)

I would certainly be willing to participate in such a scheme.
Every little helps.

? Would this actually give the BYB *more* coverage?

? How would we draw the line between the guy who had an "accidental"
litter and just wants to rehome the kids, and the BYB who is a repeat offender?

There are accidental litters, but.....

If no rehoming fee is listed, you can bet it's above and beyond a rehoming fee.

Most of the BYB ads on Craigslist stick out like sore thumbs.

Stud service ads, etc, aren't "rehoming"

It won't give 'em more coverage, because if enough people flag the ads, the ads are removed.
